Info:  Here for sale is my beautiful ‘Fender Standard MIM Fretless Jazz Bass’ in Agave Blue. First let me say that there is not a mark on it. No chips, or scratches and the neck is flawless. I have owned this Bass for 6yrs.(second owner) and have made numerous recordings with it and preformed live with great results. In 2006 I swapped out the Fender bridge for a BadAss bridge and the sustain was perfect. I also replaced the black plastic knobs with chrome knurled ones and WOW. The pickguard is also an upgrade in my opinion. The ligh yellow gold sparkle matches well with the Agave color.  I will include the original pickguard and knobs and bridge, if you want to return it to stock. I have many Basses and have to sell off a few. I had a Heart Attack in July and the bills will kill me faster than another. The Fender HSC has some issues. One of the back hinges is broken. I have Duct Taped the case back together and it works fine, but it is not road worthy.  This Bass plays like butter. It comes with new RotoSound Jazz Flatwounds which really project the sound. The action is low and the intonation is right on. Ready to play. I take great pride in selling quality and would only sell something I would buy myself. Check my feedback. The Bootsy Space Bass was a limited edition instrument that was built by Washburn�s USA Custom Shop as a signature model for Bootsy when he signed on with Washburn as a signature artist in late 2002. The bass was designed to be a replica of Bootsy�s very own Space Bass that has been prominently featured at numerous live gigs and on his famous Parliament/Funkadelic recordings.

Less than 100 of these basses were built between 2003 and 2004. This body is in perfect condition.

I had an active EMG pickup installed near the neck to enhance the already deep lows that you get from this bass. This is strung with flatwound strings, the original roundwounds and the original pickup will be included with this sale.  The TKL hardshell case that is pictured also goes with this bass. I bought this case at the same time I bought the guitar and the guitar has always been stored in the case. The bass has a set neck, not a bolt on neck like the cheaper versions. This is Epiphone’s premium grade bass. The body is solid mahagony and the neck is mahagony and birch with a rosewood fretboard. This is a Vintage Leo Fender G&L L-2000 bass guitar.  
Overall, the bass is in very good condition. I purchased it in its present condition several years ago and have used it in my recording studio since then. The finish of the bass is in reasonable condition with a few chips, but there are no major defects… just a few scratches and dings… The neck is straight. The truss rod works. A good buffing and polishing would make it look great!
THE SOUND
If you are not familiar with G&L basses, they sound great…no exception with this bass.  It has that classic G&L tone that many people love for thumping, plucking, slapping, picking…as a result of the high output active electronics and MFD pickups, which allow the musician to dial in a great variety of tones.  They have a great midrange punch.  I used this bass, along with some of my other instruments, on selected tracks during the recording of my Urban Connections CD. 
I normally like a thinner cutting jazz type of tone that only these G&L basses are capable of producing. You’ll love this one! Check out selected tracks to get an idea of what they sound like.  Be aware that the quality of your speakers may not allow you to hear the true tone because sound output is a function of speaker quality. These basses are some of the best basses ever produced. They are USA made and have features that are usually found on your high dollar boutique basses, such as flamed maple tops, perfect fit and finish, and 18 volt active electronics.
This Peavey is a gorgeous bass. It is sound and there are no problems with the bass at all. The bass has no significant dents or dings in it either. You cannot find a better made bass for the price, especially a made in the USA bass! I have only played this bass sparingly in my church, but am going after a different sound, so it needs to go. This bass was only played in my smoke free home and at church a couple of times. It has never been gigged hard. It has no major dents, dings, or scratches either.
This bass is a Sienna burst finish and not a Tigers eye finish.
