This is an excellent condition G&L Tribute JB-2 bass. I’ve modified the controls to include a push/pull pot for series/parallel switching. I really like series mode (traditional jazz setup is
parallel with vol/vol controls) as it has more low end, punch and output with a mellower top end. The sound is aggressive, edgy and clear.

The neck is a great feeling jazz-like neck with 1.5″ nut width. The natural ash body looks great and I get compliments on the looks whenever I take it out.

The bass is in great shape and will ship in a gig bag.

1960′S GRETSCH MODEL 6070 HOLLOWBODY BASSThis truly is a special find. Dated between ’63-’65, this double cutaway hollowbody bass has two painted f-holes and a beautiful sunburst finish on its maple neck and body. It comes equipped with a roller bridge, one pickup and gold plated hardware that shows slight greening and has a HUGE neck profile. The factory mute switch does work mechanically, however the pad has worn down in its old age so the muting doesn’t function. It’s a 34 inch scale bass, that has an extension end pin which is a rare feature that ran for only a couple years. It also has a padded snap on back that cushions an access plate. Because of its delicate condition, we didn’t remove it for fear of damaging it. The binding is also crumbling and displaying shrinkage which is common for older basses. This one of a kind also comes with it’s very own leather gig bag. Add it to your collection today!
