Fender ’62 Reissue Jazzmaster Japan MIJ Guitar Excellent Block Inlays

Oh so very sweet… this Fender Jazzmaster model electric guitar is in outstanding condition and very easily earns an excellent overall condition rating. The serial number starts with a “T” plus 6 digits, indicating production was 1994-95 and I cannot imagine finding another one 17 years old in any better condition than this. The “candy apple” red finish just sparkles, all hardware is clean and shiny. With hardly any signs at all of it having ever been played I would say it is safe to say that this guitar must have spent most of its life stored away in a closet. Of special consideration please note that this guitar has anodized gold toned metal pickguard, also block fingerboard inlays and that the fingerboard itself is bound with crème binding… I mention this because most of these MIJ reissues have plastic pickguards, plain dot inlay, and unbound fretboards. There are no problems, no issues, no repairs, and everything operates as it should so there are no surprises here… some player or collector is going to be very pleased with this truly classy very well built guitar. We are also including a brand new Fender Deluxe gig bag and please keep in mind that our professional instrument Technician has completely gone over and checked out this instrument (as we do with all our instruments) and we have adjusted and set it up to insure that it is in the BEST possible playing order, so that all the winning bidder will have to do is enjoy it.

With the camera flash and lights, the gold toned anodized metal pickguard appears almost silver in the pictures, when it is actually more of a mellow gold color… like those seen on some of the old vintage 1950 and 1960 era Jazzmaster guitars.

Fender American Vintage ’62 Jazzmaster – USA Thin skin

This is a Fender Special Run Thinskin American Vintage ’62 Jazzmaster in lake placid blue with matching headstock.  Fender thinskin guitars were only provided to 3 dealers in the world in very limited numbers.  They are finished with a thin coat of nitrocellulose lacquer with no undercoat, just like fender guitars were back in the glory days.  So these “thinskin” guitars have the ability to naturally wear (aka “relic”) just like your favorite classic guitar heroes.  Some people also claim that this style of finish allows the wood to “breath”, but I don’t see how that’s possible…  Visit this link for more information: http://www.wildwoodguitars.com/electrics/fender/avts/.This particular guitar has a Mastery bridge installed; the original bridge and bridge cover are included, as is all of the “case candy”.  The factory case is brown with a sort of amber colored velvet inside, just like the original cases from the 1962 era. The neck pocket is tight, that is one of the things I looked for when picking out this guitar.  It has a couple of scratches on the back that are hard to notice unless you are looking for them.  They are so light and superficial that I couldn’t get them to show up in the pictures.  Also, there is a very tiny line of glue on the velvet case compartment that I included in the pictures; it came from the factory like this and you may be able to pick off the glue.  The guitar weighs 8.2 lbs.  Lake Placid Blue is not available anymore from any dealers, and there probably aren’t more than 15 thinskin jazzmasters of any other color available for sale from dealers.  I’ve had the guitar for less than a year and hate to get rid of it, but I just can’t afford to keep it.  Ask questions, and happy bidding!!Here are the some more specs on this guitar: Alder Body, 21 Dunlop

Fender Jazzmaster,MIJ,great player,CLEAN,Japan,hardcase

 This is a really nice player and very clean.  The neck is straight, the action is low with no buzz and the frets show almost no wear.  The tuners are smooth and stable and the electronics are working properly.  The body has only a few small marks and no chips, worming, or buckle rash.  The back of the neck as a few very light scratches, shown in the photo.  By far the worst mark on the guitar is on the front of the headstock between the letters “a” and “s” in the word “Jazzmaster”, shown in the headstock photo.  There is the usual light corrosion on the pickguard screws, polepieces, and tuning buttons.  Of course,  none of this effects the function or playability of this clean older Jazzmaster.  It comes with the tweed hardcase shown, which actually has an orange colored interior and not the reddish shade rendered in the photo.  The case has one broken latch but is still very sturdy.  It also comes with a whammy bar that works but I think is not the correct one for this guitar.  It fits too loosely.  The strings are new D’arddios, the action is low and fast, and the intonation is spot-on.  It is an “S” serial number which I think puts it in the mid-90s manufacture.  This is another really nice guitar from my small collection that I have to let go to someone who will appreciate it and give it the playing time it deserves.  Shipping is $40.00 to the lower 48.  No overseas shipping on this. … Click for more info

Here is really nice G&L asat special tribute series. It’s black with a custom red pearl pickguard from terrapin guitars. Also has aged pickup covers and witch hat volume and tone knobs on a reversed control plate.Vol,tone,3way switch,in that order.If your looking at this i’m sure you already know how great these guitars really are.Top build quality,USA electronics,great action.Playability and tone are just awsome.Good for country,blues,rock,just about anything.I’ve had this guitar for 3 or 4 years now. it’s only been in my smoke free home.With the exception of me taking it to church once or twice.Not a lot of play time on it,no fret wear.Cosmetically looks pretty good no buckle rash.It may have few swirl marks on it.I always try to be totally honest.I won’t sell any thing I wouldn’t buy my self.I actually don’t wan to sell it,but times are tough, you know how that goes. Fender Jazzmaster made in Japan

This is my beloved Fender Jazzmaster. I love this guitar, but I’m currently unemployed, and so I’v got to start culling gear. This is a wonderful guitar, with a great sound and a great feel. this guitar was made famous by the likes of Robert Smith of the Cure, as well as J. Mascis of Dinosaur Jr., and Thurston Moore of Sonic Youth. And let us not forget the great Elvis Costello. This guitar was made in Japan, sometime in the mid-1990′s. I’d like to say 1996, but I’m not one hundred percent on that. It does have some dings and scrapes on it, having seen a lot of time on stage. I’ve included pictures of the affected areas. There is some paint scraped off of the bottom corner, and some dings above the pickguard. There’s some mild buckle rash on the back. It was recently set up, and has new strings on it. Vintage 1965 Fender Jazzmaster Guitar

ORIGINAL Olympic white headstock and decal, refinished body. Other than the refin body and one solder joint, this guitar is all stock, every part. The refin was done at least 30 years ago; for most of that time, I have used the neck on Strats. The neck is hands down one of the best and most comfortable Fender necks ever.The refin on the body is an exceptionally close match to the headstock and looks entirely convincing. It is not the greatest refin job on earth, I would rate it a "B". It is very thin. It has yellowed nicely in spots and looks good. There is very slight orange peel in some areas, none of which can be seen from 3 feet away.The tuners are stock Kluson double row tuners, no other tuners have ever been on the guitar. The pickups are the stock pickups. The one inch wire between the main tone controls broke as it does on many Jazzmasters if the locknut on the pot-shaft gets loose and the pot gets rotated. I have resoldered that wire using original cloth wire. See pix #6.Supplied in a correct, orignal Fender case in decent shape with all latches working. The string pocket inside the case is missing. It’s just not there. It does not look like it was ripped out destructively, there is no damage to the interior of the case, the string pocket just isn’t there.Just above the nut, there is a chip in the rosewood of the fretboard which goes under the "E" and "B" strings. This doesn’t affect playability and would not affect replacing the nut should one want to do so. The nut in the neck is fine. The frets are the original small flat-topped Fenders, and show very little wear. The neck is really a joy to play. All of the finish is present on the back of the neck, as well.I suppose one could go buy a 1963-1964 Fender Jazzmaster neck for over $3000, but here’s the whole guitar for a lot less. I have shown the guitar body detached from the neck and overlaid with the peghead so you can see how nice the color match is between the body & neck.Questions? Please ask! Shipping $65. via UPS ground. Vintage 1964 Fender Jazzmaster Electric Guitar

Here is a 1964 Fender Jazzmaster electric guitar, made in the USA. The serial # is L 544XX. This beauty is in very good condition for it’s age. It has nicks, scratches, dings, and wear. It has a nice looking candy apple red finish with a silver base coat. The neck is straight with good action. The frets show little wear. All of the electronics work as they should. They are scratchy and need to be cleaned. The guitar could also use a good cleaning and a set up, but will play as is. The nitro cellulose guard is in great shape. This is a pre cbs Jazzmaster. Included is what looks like the original hard shell case. This is a great Jazzmaster for any player or collector!
