This is a Limited Edition early 2000 ( I think this is around 2004) Fender Crafted in Japan model JM66-80 which means a 1966 reissue Jazzmaster with tortoise pickguard combined with the White Blonde ASH body and  you get a killer guitar for great price. Pickups sound great.
Everyone knows that back in the late 1990s and early 2000′s, Fender Japan was making some killer guitars. Kinda even scared Fender Custom SHop how Japan Crafted version rivaled the Custom Shop builds for a fraction of the price.
 
This guitar was purchased direct from a major Fender authorized dealer in Japan called Apollon Music. They were able to get some killer special models made and this is one of them. It weighs just 8 lbs and comes with all the paperwork, cord, tremolo arm, allen key for bridge saddle adjustment, and a Fender gig bag.
 
The neck is kind of shallow ‘C’ shape, not fat. No wear to anything.
 
 
 
Shipping is fixed at $25 UPS ground fully insured. For International shipment, I use USPS Global Express (EMS) service as long as the size restrictions allow it and cost is around $180. Some countries have size restrictions that the guitar box exceeds, so it may have to go Airmail Priority which is cheaper but slower delivery at about $140. Email me for a quote/verification of cost. ALso, note that some county locations have a limited insurance coverage, like $500-650, so be aware of these details. For Australia, I have to use FedEx due to USPS size rstrictions but cost is still around $170.

Fender J Mascis Jazzmaster Curtis Novak Pickups

Up for sale is a used but nearly mint Fender J Mascis Jazzmaster. Crafted in Japan. I upgraded the pickups to Curtis Novaks. There is a P90 in the bridge and the neck pickup is wound to ’63 Jazzmaster specs. Curtis Novak winds the best Jazzmaster pickups period. These things sound amazing and I have a little over $200 wrapped up in the pickups.The reason that this thing isn’t dead mint is because there is a small ding in the metal pickguard that must have happened during shipping. After opening and playing it I loved it so much I didn’t send it back. The body and neck have NO dings and NO scratches. I babied this thing like no guitar I have ever owned. There is zero fret wear, and zero wear to the back of the neck. When I say zero I literally mean zero. This looks like it just came off the assembly line. I only took this guitar out for performances and it was not my daily practice guitar.I had this guitar professionally set up by a local guitar tech and it plays great. Action is low but not too low, and it sounds great over the whole fretboard. Holds tune beautifully. Comes with a hard shell case, but not the one listed in the pic. So why am I selling it? I start clinicals in the fall and I need to raise about $3,000 to cover textbooks, uniforms, and immunizations. This is one of the best guitars I have ever owned and I hate to get rid of it. Original Vintage 1962 Fender Jazzmaster 100% nr. mint

This is an excellent, near mint condition, all original and complete 1962 Fender Jazzmaster.  This instrument appears to have been only lightly used during it’s entire life.  The frets are original, and only a little worn.  The neck is a beautiful flamed maple, and the back of the neck shows very little wear in it’s original varnish.  The slab rosewood fingerboard is the best of the best.  This guitar has very low action, and it plays incredibly easily.  There are no buzzes or dead spots, and it really is in perfect condition for it’s age.  The body shows some nicks and checking in it’s original finish, but it really is very clean.  Now for an interesting feature.  I believe this guitar has never been dis-assembled!  All of the controls work perfectly.  There is no scratchyness in the pots or switches.  No one  has ever taken it apart, because it didn’t need any kind or repair or maintainance ever! I’m not going to now disassemble it to photograph the parts, but I will guarantee that they are all original. I have taken the neck off to verify the date.  All the original tuners work perfectly, and are in original condition. The case is also in very excellent condition.  The latches all work, and there is only a little wear showing. You won’t find a nicer Pre-CBS Jazzmaster.  I usually don’t allow returns, but if you don’t agree with my description of this amazing guitar, you may return it for a full refund within 3 days.  Buyer will pay all shipping and full insurance.  Safe packing and shipping will be $65. in the USA.  Our international friends will pay full shipping, insurance, and customs charges from your country. Lets have some fun! ORIGINAL Jazzmaster Annodized Aluminum Pickguard

Thanks for looking!    For sale is a 1950′s original vintage Fender Jazzmaster annodized aluminum pickguard. I am NOT an authority on these things but I have done a bit of web research.  Everything I’ve found supports this being the real thing.  I’ve provided as many pictures from different angles and closeups so you can scrutinize the guard.  The front seems to have a shiny-like surface.
The back has a ton of marks left by adhesive tape (I’m guessing).  It also has a pencil line and the pencilled letters “ER” between the pickup cutouts (Initials?).  Please look closely at each picture.  The guard is flat and ready to install.  Like my other auctions this piece came from a very old storage box.  There are some reference sites I suggest you look at:

If you’re looking to restore or upgrade your original, or add some original vibe to a modern guitar, I hope you’ll consider this piece.  It has the some scratches from actual use, but it is pretty clean for a pickguard from this era.
I’m cleaninig out the parts boxes and the good stuff is going to be leaving. Watch for other Fender and Gibson parts.

Fender Jazzmaster No Reserve

Fender Jazzmaster crafted in japan. Upgraded humbucker pickups for a more rock tone. Serial number is b001167. The original owner scratched out the crafted in japan on the back of the neck as pictured. The body and neck have a few nicks and even some paint chips on the lower bout that i have shown in the photos. The bridge was upgraded to a mustang bridge to prevent string slippage. Fretwear is minor. Guitar has the smooth playability of a jazzmaster and the sound similar to a gibson. I am not the original owner so i dont know the make of the pickups but they sound really good. All the hardware and tuners are stock. The guitar overall is a great playing guitar that looks like it has been knocked around a bit but everything is straight and works fine. No reserve. The pickups look and sound like Rickenbacker or Gretsch single coils. They are hot but articulate. Great clean jangle sound to them. The semi-hollow design avoids feedback and you have the added benefit of the balanced XLR output if you choose to use it, but the guitar just plugs and plays like any standard electric. You can forget the XLR is there if you want. The two rotary switches are for pickup selection and the other for tone settings (4 defined tones instead of an imprecise knob). Fender J. Mascis Artist Series Jazzmaster Signature

For auction is my Fender J. Mascis Artist Series Signature Jazzmaster. The guitar is in excellent condition. It should pass for new at any guitar store. There are no cosmetic issues.  The guitar is a top of the line instrument as-is, but it has been heavily upgraded. The pickups have been replaced with handwound Fralin Jazzmaster pickups. These were ordered and hand-wound by Lindy Fralin himself for a true vintage output. The gold pickguard was also switched to a 3-ply white vinyl guard and a buzzstop was added to the bridge to fix the intonation and keep the strings from buzzing or having too much movement in the saddles. The guitar usually comes with a gig bag but I am including a new roadrunner hardshell case.
