1969 Competition  Reissue CIJ Fender Mustang Guitar
OVERVIEW:  You are bidding on a gently used Fender CIJ or “Crafted-in-Japan” Mustang sporting a beautiful metallic red finsh.  The guitar is in excellent condition, it actually looks pretty new.  These guitars are a bit hard to find as they are only available on the used market or special ordered from Japan.  This one comes ready to play with no issues.  Comes with new deluxe Fender gig bag.  The guitar was made in 1999.
BODY:  The body features an fantastic candy apple red finish. This guitar has been gently used and there are very little signs of wear.  The front, back, and edges of the body are in excellent shape.  There is one super tiny ding on the body.   The pearloid pickguard and the chrome pieces on the body are in great shape.  The pickups each have a three way switch for playing them ON, OFF, or OUT-OF-Phase.  The body features Fender’s “Dynamic” vibrato system.  Comes with a white tipped trem arm.
NECK:  The 24” scale maple neck features a rosewood fretboard and dot fret markers.  With it’s 22 frets and easy access to the higher frets you can explore many unique scales.  The condition neck is also like new.   The frets are showing zero wear and the kluson-style tuners remain in great shape.  The back of the maple neck look great and actually has a little flame to it. The headstock has a little wear at the top.

This particular example, serial number 510337, is in very nice vintage condition and includes an original “salt and pepper” case! The Mustang was originally introduced as a mid-line model between the student grade Duo Sonic, and the professional Telecaster. The Competition-stripe series is definitely Fender’s most interesting with respect to paint and finishing practices, which feature a 3-band racing stripe along the lower bass-side bout, have since become very cool and collectible models, so take advantage of this No Reserve auction with FREE U.S.A. shipping and discounted Worldwide delivery!Serial Number: 510 337 (F plate)
Potentiometer Codes: 137-7343 This Competition Red Mustang features: exclusive Fender off set contour design, the original “Competition Red” finish, a maple neck with a rosewood fingerboard, (2) high fidelity grounded pickups, Fender floating bridge, “F” style tuning machines, 24″ scale, (2) string trees and an original hard shell case. While this guitar looks quite presentable from the front, and remains miraculously un-faded, it does have the typical finish degradation on the back side of the cutaway horn. Other than the area of wear/missing finish, the guitar is very nice, with no other significant issues. The neck is straight, the action is low, and playability is quite comfortable. The frets are intact, and an imminent fret-job is nowhere in sight. As you can see from one photo, the frets are almost perfectly intact with no serious wear.Both pickups are original and sound great, but one pot appears to have been replaced. Otherwise, the guitar is 100% original. It is also missing the original tremolo arm, but a replacement can be purchased for under $25 online fairly easily.This guitar is great for the player who prefers an investment-grade instrument over a money-pit project. Fender 69 Mustang Reissue Electric Guitar

I’m selling a 69 reissue Mustang made in 1995. All the switch settings work the way they are supposed to. It has a Seymour Duncan Hot Rails in the bridge (its upside down for some reason) and a Lace Sensor Gold (not the Hot version) in the neck. Other than that nothing was really altered and its in great condition other than a small dent on near the strap button. It can be completely restored if you found two original mustang pickups however it works great as is. on a gently used custom made guitar.  This one-of-kind guitar is made with both Fender and Warmoth parts.  Looks Fantastic and was recently set-up.  Plays great. Comes with strap locks, a strap, case, and trem arm.  Body: Warmoth made Mustang body. Professionally painted Metallic Dark Silver with metallic light silver competition stripes.  The body is light weight (probably basswood). Bridge: Warmoth modified mustang bridge and Fender Vibrato. Pickguard: Custom white pearloid pickguard (USA made). Electronics: Guts, pots, hardware assumed to be Fender ’65 reissue Mustang parts.PIckups: Seymour Duncan pickups, Hot Rails in the neck and humbucker in the bridge. Neck: Fender ’65 reissue mustang neck.Tuners: Chrome Fender 70′s style “F” tuners.DETAILED DESCRIPTION:   BODY: USA made body.
