Here it is, my 1977 Fender Mustang, in all it’s original glory.  Besides a few nicks and scratches, this guitar is in incredible shape.  Plays like a dream.  The premier guitar of the salad days of CBGB’s and the whole New York rock scene of the mid to late seventies.  Talking Heads, Television, Adrian Belew, just to name a few.  Plus bands like Sonic Youth, Wilco, and the late Kurt Cobain.  Coming up on the 20th anniversary of ‘Nevermind’, this guitar could be the catalyst to get you out of the basement and onto the stage to blaze trails of your own.  It hurts me to have to get rid of this guitar.  I’ve had it for four wonderful years.  Buying it from a vintage dealer in Colorado, it was me ‘settling’ since I couldn’t afford a Jazzmaster.  Little did I know that this guitar would win me over ten times over.  What I thought was settling turned into a game changer for me.  My sound, style, and attitude changed once I hung this guitar over my shoulders and started playing.  It breathed new life into my songwriting.  It opened doors musically and widened the landscape of my musical creativity.  Sounds pretty over the top, doesn’t it?  Yeah, but it’s true.

I purchased this new a few years ago. It has only been played a few times and beyond a few finger prints, there are no marks on this guitar that I can find. It looks like it was just unpacked out of the box. The case is the matching mustang case made for this guitar the same year it came out. The case listed at about $175.00 when it was new. Look at the pictures to see how nice this guitar is. The case has one long light scuff on it (see picture) that is hard to see unless you are really looking for it. The latches are just a little bit dull looking. All of the “case candy” that is pictured comes with the guitar along with the original trem bar. Here is your chance to own a really great Fender Competition Mustang in Candy Apple Red with the matching silver/grey hard shell case. Lucky You!!!!

I have a Fender Mustang guitar 69′ reissue sonic blue 95-96 made in Japan. I am a big Nirvana fan and loved having this guitar like the one Kurt Cobain rocked on the In Utero tour. The sonic blue color is a hard shade to find unless you buy a brand new one of course. I didn’t use it all that much so it is in really great condition! I just had it around for the looks! Hehe! I have a Martin acoustic that I use a lot more. The only thing slightly imperfect is that the bridge is a little raised as you can see in the picture. This can be easily fixed. No dents or scratches on this baby. Sorry, no whammy bar. Just learn to slide and your good. Everything is original and nothing was ever replaced. Neat vintage 1975 Fender Mustang electric guitar. Serial number 626266. Made in the USA. All original.
Guitar does have some nicks, dings and scratches. The finish has some crazing. Some checking on the lower horn and the side of the body.
Neck is straight and the frets do show some play wear. Their is still some life left in them though. The fretboard has play wear down at the butt.
Guitar plays great and all the electronics work and sound great.
24″ scale. 1 5/8″ width at the nut. 1/16″ action.
Action is super low, could stand to be raised a tad.
Comes with a gig bag but I will pack very well for shipping.

1972 Fender Mustang very nice with original hard case. Here is what I know about the guitar…. It is a 72 mustang in decent condition with original hardshell case. We got this on trade and is sounds very good and looks good. It does have some dings and scratches on the front, on the back it has some deep gouges that do not affect the playability of the guitar at all. It is still a very nice guitar.  The frets are in very good condition. Look at the pictures and see for yourself it is a nice vintage guitar.

Fender Mustang 1965 Reissue w/Custom Shop Pickups

Item for bids is a 1965 Fender Mustang ReIssue.  Made in Japan. Serial number is S01 8796.  The guitar is in beautiful condition.  It has custom shop pickups installed.  The original pickups will be included also. Neck is straight as an arrow and it plays like a million bucks.  First three frets have some fret wear but there are still many miles of playing left on them.  There is a small indentation that is in between the bottom two bouts on the back but you really have to look for it.  It’s about the size of a thumb nail and is not that deep and not noticable unless looking for it.  Everything works 100% and the guitar sounds great and a bit fatter than most mustangs.  Also included are the whammybar and an Epiphone gigbag.  I pack all guitars with the utmost care and am familiar with the necessary packing proceedures to assure that it will arrive undamaged.  This guitar is set at a very reasonable reserve.  Guitar is also “Sold as is”.  Thanks for looking! … Click for more info
