80′s USA Fender 52 Reissue Telecaster – Thin Neck – Honest Relic

80′s USA Fender 52 Reissue Telecaster – Thin Neck – Honest Relic
80's USA Fender 52 Reissue Telecaster - Thin Neck - Honest Relic

Price: 445.0

This is an original Fender 52 Reissue Tele. I cleaned a small portion of solder from one of the pots and without compromising the original connection, revealed enough of the code to determine that it was made in 1986. It has been played and shows average and honest wear. The body has checking and some dings and chips along the edges. The wear on this guitar is what I would consider average from use and not abuse. It has not been broken or repaired. The look is right on and the only non-original part of this guitar is one of the knobs. It weighs 7.75 pounds weighed on my postal scale. The neck is extremely thin. It has the original bridge, saddles and cover. Serial number 48xx is on the bridge plate. Includes the original orange lined tweed case. This is pretty much identical to a 52 Fullerton Reissue I had. You don’t see this thin neck on any Tele these days. As stated, this is a guitar that has been played. If you have an allergy or an aversion to guitars that smell like smoky bars, please do not bid. This one has that authentic bar room smell that is some combination of cigarettes and lacquer.

For your consideration is this vintage 1976 Fender Starcaster electric semi-hollowbody guitar. This extremely excellent example, serial number 665046, is in beautiful cosmetic shape and 100% original condition. In a desirable 3-tone sunburst finish, this particular Starcaster features: an exceptional 2-piece flame maple top, (2) Seth Lover-designed wide-range humbucker pickups (WRHP), original maple neck with original large frets, original Schaller-made Fender tuning machines, original black “F” control knobs with metal skirts, original hardware, the original manual, the original bullet trussrod adjustment tool, and the original case. Lesser examples consistently sell for upward of $4,500.00, so take advantage of this No Reserve auction with FREE U.S.A. shipping and discounted Worldwide delivery, as the highest bidder will win… regardless of price!
Serial Number:
665046 (F-plate)Neck Date Code Stamp:
0999-4455Pickup Date Stamp: 8276Weight: 8 lbs. 6 oz.
Scale Length: 25.5″Early production examples like this are hard to come by, and feature serial numbers on the neck plates as opposed to the front of the headstock, which is much more traditional, in addition to, logo-free hard cases. This is one of the finest examples of such we have ever seen.As previously mentioned, this guitar is in excellent all original shape. The guitar has no breaks, no cracks, no repairs, and no modifications. The finish is beautifully well-preserved, with minimal and attractive patina, yet no distracting wear through the original polyurethane clear coat anywhere on the body. Aside from the replacement of the original cracked nut with a professional exact spec repro, the guitar is in 100% original intact condition. The guitar weighs 8 lbs. 6oz., plays great, and looks amazing. The neck profile is reminiscent of most mid-70s Fender guitars with a medium-large sized D-shape. The original large frets are in excellent condition, and do not protrude from the edge of the fingerboard. The neck is extremely comfortable, and is absolutely perfectly straight. Perhaps most importantly, the guitar sounds incredible. With an individual sale price of $600 per WRHP, it is obvious most enthusiasts agree that the Starcaster has a pair of very special-sounding pickups. The Starcaster, being the only hollowbody Fender model the aforementioned humbuckers, sounds unlike a Fender Tele Thinline, Tele Custom, or Tele Deluxe. The Starcaster sounds incredibly rich, and as the pickup name infers, produces a very robust full-range sound. Since the guitar features a 25.5″ scale length, it sounds distincltyl different from a traditional ES-335 style guitar, and contributes a unique voice all its own.The original case is in good condition, however, the lid exhibits some separation. It will properly protect, store, and allow safe transport, however, it is not in the best structural shape. All latches work, all hinges are intact, and the handle works fine. Relatively unpopular when originally released to compete with Gibson’s dominant presence over the electric hollowbody market in 1976, the Starcaster experienced limited production. Made between 1975-1982, it seems the combination of both the short run and scarce production have consequently made Starcasters quite rare. … Click for more info

Slightly used American made Fender Telecaster with original hard shell case. Serial number shows it to be from 1997, but you would never know. There’s not a scratch or smudge on the front and there’s only some faint light scratches on the back from a belt buckle. It’s nothing deep and only noticeable on very close inspection. 1952 Butterscotch Fender Telecaster RI (1994)

1952 Butterscotch Fender Telecaster RI (1994)
1952 Butterscotch Fender Telecaster RI (1994)

Price: 565.55
Serial Number: 18925Date: 2/19/1994I am the original owner of this 1952 Vintage Reissue Telecaster which was purchased new at Quigley’s Music in Kansas City, Missouri in February 1994.Everything is original including all the case candy and Certificate of Authenticity.New modes list for $2400 with a buy price of $1600 to $1700.It’s been carefully cared for over the last 18 years, you won’t find any huge scratches or dents. This model came with an extra bridge plate with optional 6 pole pieces (never used), it’s currently in the standard 3 type format, it was also wired to ’52 specs where the neck pickup showcased a deep rhythm tone with lots of bass, also included was an optional tone pot where the neck pickup has a brighter mode on tone, this was professionally installed right after I purchased it, the ash tray cover has never been used, all of these items have been stored in a plastic bag for the last 18 years.I’ve misplaced the original invoice but the Certificate of Authenticity does show the year and serial number, I’m still looking for that document as of today. This is a fine player, neck is straight, low action with .009′s, original tweed case. I’ve been playing Fenders since 1964 and this is the only guitar I’ve had this happen too, about 2 years ago, I noticed the Fender Logo Decal on the headstock crumbling away in a few places.  I contacted Fender and requested a new decal explaining I was the original owner and had documents to back that up, they told me the decal would be free but I’d have to take it to an authorized Fender Repair Center (30 miles away) and would also be charged for the labor, I can’t print what I said to them over the phone but I was outraged, their customer support is the worse I’ve ever dealt when compared to Taylor, Ovation and Martin.Anyway, I bought an after market decal from Canada off Ebay, its a dead ringer to the original but decided not to put it on in case I decided to sell it, this would give the buyer that option….so what’s left of the original is still on the headstock, the new decal is included with instructions.I live in the Kansas City area, local pickup is available.I’m charging a low $35 for shipping for the lower 48 states, cost will be at least twice that amount and I’ll cover that myself, courier will be UPS.Buyer will have a 24 hour window for inspection, guitar can be returned at the buyer’s expense and returned in the same condition, refund will be issued after I receive the guitar.Payment due no later than 3 days after auction ends via Paypal. If you need additional photos, let me know. My feedback speaks for itself, good luck biddingOn Apr-21-12 at 07:26:01 PDT, seller added the following information:PLEASE READ THIS….I JUST NOTICED THE MY AD SAYS “NO RETURNS”, I DO OFFER A RETURN POLICY ON THIS GUITAR.I JUST CONTACTED … Click for more info
