First Run Gibson Les Paul Robot Guitar RG0751
Posted by brian in Les Paul Standard on February 2nd, 2010
From gibsons site: (http://www.gibson.com/robotguitar/index.html)
This is the First Edition of the Gibson’s Robot Guitar — AND it is the world’s first guitar with robotic technology. You don’t have to tune up your car ever time you drive it. Now you don’t have to tune up your guitar every time you play it the Robot Guitar does it for you. Just plug it in, dial in the tuning, strum the strings, and then play.
The self-tuning system is built into a gorgeous Gibson Les Paul (LP) guitar without changing its looks and while retaining all the sound and playability that have made the LP one of the most successful electric guitars of all time. To tune itself, the Robot Guitar uses an on-board central processing unit (CPU) that analyzes the pitch of each string as detected by a Tune-Control bridge. Tuning information from the CPU is relayed to the motorized tuning machines that efficiently adjust each string to the correct pitch with a distinctive whirring sound that lets you know Robot Guitar is on the job.
You activate the Robot Guitar with the Master Control Knob (MCK) that functions as a tone control in the down position and is pulled up to activate the tuning system. In addition to standard (A-440Hz) tuning, six commonly used tunings are selectable from the MCK. Users can also program their own custom tunings as well as set the guitar s intonation. Now, with the Gibson Robot Guitar, you’ll spend more time playing in tune. In live performance you can easily change tunings practically soundlessly on the fly keeping your show flowing smoothly. There’s no longer any need to haul several instruments to the gig to cover various tunings; The Robot does it all for you!
Each limited edition, first-run Gibson Robot Guitar features a dramatic Blue Silverburst nitrocellulose finish, created especially for this limited run. It will never be used on any other Gibson guitar. Also featured is a certificate of authenticity, a power adapter for the system’s rechargeable lithium battery, and a limited edition First-Run case with a silver Tolex exterior and a matching plush silver interior.
Each Robot Guitar’s serial number will also be sequentially exact, beginning with “RG0001,” and continuing through the end of this strictly limited run.(RG4000) This Robot Limited Edition First Run Electric Guitar has become a highly collectible instrument. Gibson Les Paul Standard-Very Nice Guitar!!
Posted by brian in Les Paul Standard on February 2nd, 2010
This guitar has been played so it does show minor marks from use with some swirl marks from polishing. Included are a couple of very small dents on the back and one on the front. I tried to show them in the pictures but they don’t show up. Also the right corner of the headstock was bumped. No breaks or repairs. It weighs in at 9.1 lbs.
I bought the guitar new and have taken very good care of it. It’s been maintained in my air conditioned, smoke free house (has never left the house). This guitar has been played infrequently over the past 4 years and unfortunately I’m forced to sell it to cover tuition cost.
Included is the original Gibson hard shell case with the original inspection tag and lock information. The lock has never been changed.
Please plan to pay within 3 days if paying by Paypal. Certified funds are accepted. Shipping will be $50 flat rate insured anywhere in continental US. No international shipping. Please don’t ask. If you have less than 5 positive feedbacks please check with me prior to bidding. No negative feedback buyers.
Feel free to contact me with any additional questions. Good luck, Mark … Click For More Info

Gibson Les Paul Classic Custom
Overview
Here’s
a rare guitar from Gibson’s Guitar of the Week program in 2007. This is
one of a limited edition of 400 guitars. This guitar is finished in a
very classy Antique White finish. The Classic Custom was not available
in this color with the exception of this limited run. This guitar just
oozes class in my opinion. Of course, it also plays & sounds as
good as it looks. The guitar is in mint condition and comes with the
original case and accessories.

Vintage 1958 Gibson 3/4 Les Paul Jr Electric Guitar
Posted by brian in Les Paul Standard on January 31st, 2010
Here is a 1958 Gibson Les Paul Jr 3/4 electric guitar, made in the USA. The serial # is 8-47XX. This guitar is pretty rare not too many of these 3/4 jr’s were made. It looks to be all original with the original soft shell case. This cool little Jr is in very good condition for it’s age. It does have some nicks and scratches. The frets have some wear. The neck is straight with good action. This guitar screams! The pickup is hot reading 8.03 ohms. This guitar weighs 7.8 pounds. The scale length is 23″. The nuts width is 19/16″. This would make a great little couch guitar or just a nice addition to you Jr collection.
