2002 Gibson Les Paul Classic 1960 Reissue – Honeyburst

2002 Gibson Les Paul Classic â??1960 Reissueâ?
This auction is for a 2002 Gibson Les Paul Classic â??1960 Reissueâ? with a beautiful Honeyburst finish. I bought this guitar in 2004 and have loved every minute of owning it; unfortunately, since times are tight, I am forced to sell it. The guitar is in terrific condition and comes with all original parts. The only alteration I made to the guitar is that I installed a Seymour Duncan Antiquity Humbucker (11014-01) to the neck. The Antiquity pickup sounds amazing with warm, smooth low-ends and crystal clear highs that I find are superior to the Gibson â??57 PAFs. The Antiquity pickup is made to look vintage (which explains the older, vintage look to the humbucker â?? it was made to look that way) and certainly sounds as vintage as they come. So if you love the tones of the 60â??s and 70â??s then this is the package for you. The buyer will also receive the original stock 489R humbucker that the Antiquity replaced.
The guitar really plays beautifully. It has a â??60s slim taper neck that is very fast and comfortable. Everything about this guitar screams classic rock and blues. In the studio I would even used it for jazz guitar since its low tones sound so smooth. Iâ??ve owned eight guitars in the 15 years that Iâ??ve been playing, and this guitar is by far the best Iâ??ve ever played.
I have taken very good care of this guitar and I look forward to finding it a new home with someone who will enjoy its gorgeous looks and sounds as much as I have these past years. Gibson has recently discontinued the Les Paul Classic line after 18 years of excellence, so get your hands on this guitar while you still can!

2000 Gibson Les Paul Classic w/Mods. Flametop

2000 GibsonLes PaulClassic
I am selling my 2000 Les Paul Classic.. Not because I don’t love it, But because I’m about to lose my house.I bought this guitar around 2005, “used” on eBay. I’m not going to try and butter you up by mentioning how beautiful this guitar is, because there is no doubt, it is damn sexy! But, I played in a gigging band for a few years, up until a couple months ago. So this guitar has been played and hasn’t been sitting under a bed somewhere. The reason I mention this is because this guitar has it’s fair share of dings and scratches… Nothing major, Just normal wear from being played on a regular basis. I just don’t want any potential buyers thinking they’re getting a “collector” guitar… This is a “players” guitar. I’ve tried to post as many pictures as I could so that there will be no disappointments when the guitar arrives to it’s new owner. This guitar also has a few modifications that I will mention below.
The first Mod I did was installing a set of Rio Grande pickups.. (BBQ Bucker Bridge and Genuine Texas in the Neck position) If you are not familiar with Rio Grande picks-ups,You can find out more here… http://www.riograndepickups.com
In this image you should notice the finish is chipped near guitar strap button. There is another simular, but smaller chip near this area that is visible in the otherpictures.
I replaced the original “Classic” truss rod cover with a “blank” Gibson replacement part. Also please notice the dings on the corner of the headstock
The neck is straight and has no twist.
The fret condition on this guitar at this time is negotiable.. I had a very well knownGuitar Tech from this area take a look at the frets a few months back and asked him ifthey needed a re-crown, and he said I could wait a little while longer.
On the back, there is a gouge in the finish and some dings pictured.
All the original pots have been replaced with RS GuitarWorks SuperpotsAnd Hovland Capacitors. The first thing I noticed after installing this set upwas the guitar sounds a lot brighter. I run the rear pick-up tone control on”8″ for a normal tone, and roll the tone knob to “10″ when I need it brighter. This set up was installed a few years ago, and I’m starting to notice the rear pick-up volume control is getting a little scratchy.. so it could use a cleaning.
Notice the 2nd chip on the far left that I mentioned earlier.
Gibson Case is included..
I should also mention, the lock on the case latches, but it doesn’t “lock”.meaning it will open on any combination of numbers.
I going to list at the lowest possible price I can take for this guitar, with NO RESERVE! I realize it may need a little TLC, but you will not be dissapointed with this guitar.
I will be more than happy to … Click For More Info

Gibson Les Paul Standard Faded Honey Burst mint 2007
Posted by brian in Les Paul Standard on January 16th, 2010
Hi, this auction is for a 2007 Gibson Les Paul Standard Faded Honey Burst guitar in mint condition. I am the only owner and it never left my smoke free office. The only reason I’m selling is because I have to fund the PRS Custom 24 I just bought. These are very, very nice solid guitars. It has a 60′s slim taper neck, harder to find, but easier to play in my opinion. I didn’t like the original tuners (made somewhere in Asia) so I upgraded to 18:1 turning ratio Grovers. There are no dings, scuffs or scrapes that will show up on camera. The original hard shell case is included. Check out the specs from Gibson’s web site below. I ship to the lower 48 states. I must hear from the winning bidder no more than three days after the end of the auction or I will cancel the bid and relist. Please email with any questions.
I reserve the right to cancel any bids from buyers with negative feedback. All bidders with zero feedback must email me before placing a bid. Please do not bid if you are not going to pay!
ALL SALES ARE FINAL. Thanks for looking. Good Luck!
The Standard is outfitted with the new BurstBucker Pro pickups with Alnico V magnets producing the most authentic, vintage Les Paul tone of any previous Standard pickups. They produce more bite and a seductive ‘airy’ tone with both pickups on.

Gibson Les Paul Standard Traditional – Ebony
Posted by brian in Les Paul Standard on January 15th, 2010
For your bidding:
Mint, un-played 2009 Gibson Les Paul Standard Traditional Electric Guitar. Ebony. This guitar is un-played with no issues. The guitar is not chambered or weight relieved, and weighs a healthy 10lbs 2oz. It has a ’57 Classic Plus humbucker in the bridge, ’57 Classic humbucker in the neck, rounded ’50s neck profile, 12â?? neck radius, and Plek’d on Gibson Plek Machine. Auction includes the Gibson hardshell case and all the papers.
The Gibson Les Paul Standard Traditional Electric Guitar earns its name thanks to the traditional features you expect in a Les Paul guitar: mahogany body, set neck with rounded ’50s profile, maple top, and a pair of Gibson’s ’57 Classic humbucker pickups. One significant, yet not-so-traditional improvement: the neck is analyzed by Gibson’s Plek machine. Using computer precision Gibson Plek files the frets and cuts slots in the nut to an accuracy of a hundredth of a millimeter for optimal action and intonation without string buzzing.

1969 1970 GIBSON LES PAUL GOLD TOP GUITAR & CASE
Posted by brian in Les Paul Standard on January 14th, 2010
HERE IS A LATE 1969/EARLY 1970 GIBSON LES PAUL DELUXE GOLD TOP GUITAR WITH ORIGINAL CASE.
SERIAL #950752
MADE IN USA STAMP AND VOLUTE PRESENT. TWO PIECE MAHOGANY PANCAKE BODY AND THRE PIECE MAHOGANY NECK AND 3 PIECE MAPLE TOP.
THIS WAS ORIGINALY A GOLD TOP FROM THE FACTORY. AROUND 1980, THIS GUITARS’ TOP WAS STRIPPED AND FINISHED IN CLEAR COAT TO SHOW OFF THE FLAME MAPLE TOP. AT THAT TIME BOTH PICKUP CAVITIES WERE ALSO SLIGHTLY ROUTED TO ACCOMODATE THE TWO PAF HUMBUCKERS AND THE POTS WERE CHANGED.
WE RECENTLY AQUIRED THIS GUITAR FROM THE ORIGINAL OWNER WHO HAD DONE THE MODS. IT’S GOT ALOT OF MILEAGE ON IT BUT IT STILL SCREAMS AND PLAYS GREAT. IT HAS HAD A RECENT FRET DRESS SO THERE IS ALMOST ZERO FRET WEAR. THERE IS STILL PLENTY OF FRET HEIGHT REMAINING. IT HAS THE ORIGINAL TUNERS AND THE HEADSTOCK HAS NEVER BEEN DRILLED. THERE IS NO DAMAGE REPAIR HISTORY AND NO CRACKS. EVERYTHING IS ROCK SOLID.
IN ORDER TO CAPTURE THE GUITARS’ ORIGINAL PERSONALITY, I DECIDED TO RETURN THE TOP TO ITS CORRECT GOLD. USING THE ORIGINAL GOLD POWDER FORMULA, THE TOP WAS STRIPPED TO THE BARE WOOD, SEALED, AND THEN RE-SPRAYED IN NITROCELLULOUS LACQUER WITH AGED NITRO CLEAR COAT. I THEN INDUCED MINOR AGING AND FINISH CHECKING. IT LOOKS GREAT! I HUNG IT NEXT TO MY 8 YEAR OLD GOLD TOP RE-ISSUE AND YOU CANNOT TELL THE DIFFERENCE FROM 5 FEET AWAY.
I HAVE INCLUDED A PHOTO OF THE FLAME TOP AS IT WAS BEFORE THE RE-FIN.
