Yamaha SG 1500

Beautiful Epiphone Elite SG. This is an “Elite” not an “Elitist.”  Gibson had to re-brand the model after its first production run because of copyright issues. This guitar has “Gibson” on the headstock instead of “Elitist” for that reason. The back of the headstock says “Elite.” Those are the only differences between an “Elite” and “Elistist.”There are absolutely no blemishes anywhere on the body or neck of this guitar. Solid Mahogany Body Probably the most central of all Gibson SG features is its solid mahogany body. The mahogany goes through the same rigorous selection process as all of Gibson’s woods, and is personally inspected and qualified by Gibson’s team of skilled wood experts before it enters the factories. Inside the Gibson factories, humidity is maintained at 45 percent, and the temperature at 70 degrees. This ensures all woods are dried to a level of equilibrium, where the moisture content does not change during the manufacturing process. This guarantees tight-fitting joints and no expansion, and controls the shrinkage and warping of the woods, in addition to reducing the weight. It also improves the woods’ machinability and finishing properties. Consistent moisture content means that the Gibson SG will respond evenly to temperature and humidity changes long after it leaves the factory. Set-Neck Construction Like all classic Gibson guitars, the necks on SGs are distinguished by one of the more traditional features that have always set them apart — a glued neck joint. Gluing the neck to the body of the guitar ensures a “wood-to-wood” contact, no air space in the neck cavity, and maximum contact between the neck and body, allowing the neck and body to function as a single unit. There are many reasons why an instrument is sent to the refurbishing plant.  The most common is a blemish of some sort, usually in the finish.  Another common reason for sending an instrument to the refurbishing plant is that it has been discontinued by the manufacturer.  An instrument can be discontinued because of poor sales or because it was a limited edition. This guitar is in good condition, with very light scratches
on the pickguard, a few small dings near the control knobs, and very light
scratches on the back above the control plate. The case is in similarly good
condition, showing light wear and a small tear in the case fabric near the
second latch. The interior is a clean, plush white fabric with some wear.

2006 Gibson SG Standard – Ebony finish – with hardcase

2006 Gibson SG Standard in Ebony finish.
This guitar was purchased new in February of 2006 and has had one owner.
The guitar is in good condition and
recently had a set up and change of strings (.10′s). There are several indentations on the back from a 80′s style strap (you know with the big Gene Simmons type with studded buttons) but nothing through the finish. There are some chips on the headstock from where it contacted the corner of an amp head and some minor dings on the top and fair amount of scratches on the pickguard. All in all a nice playing guitar in good condition. Fantastic player with ton of tone and plenty of fret life. The guitar is all stock otherwise and comes with the original hard shell case.
