Nice vintage 1969 Gibson Melody Maker SG body. Serial number 543xxx, made in USA.
Overall in nice vintage condition. Guitar does have some nicks and dings from the years. The back has some buckle rash and there is some checking on the side of the headstock.
Whammy bar is intact. The low E string tuner bushing is missing.
Neck is straight and true. Frets do show play wear. Most is light wear but the G string on every fret is a little bit more wear. Frets may need some dressing.
Guitar plays and sounds great. Pickups are nice and full and all the electronics work well.
24 1/2″ scale length, 1 9/16″ width at the nut, 1/8″ action at the 12th fret.
Overall a nice vintage Melody Maker for your collection or everyday use.
No case but I will pack well for shipping. I will include a gig bag.

Gibson SG Standard Natural burst 2008 w/ OHSC and dimarzio straplocks
Gibson SG Standard Natural burst 2008 w/ OHSC and dimarzio straplocks
Price: 700.0
Here is my 2008 Gibson SG Standard in Natural Burst. Made in the USA. I am the original owner. Comes with OHSC (black exterior with white interior) and all original paperwork (warranty, inspection checklist, owners manual). I have installed dimarzio cliplock straplocks onto the guitar, and it will come with the dimarzio strap. Other than that no modifications have been made. The guitar has been lightly used and always kept in its case. The fretboard and neck are in mint shape, there’s hardly any wear on the frets. It plays great with nice low action. The grain on the front and back is very 3D and moves depending on the angle you look at it. There are a few small indents about the size of a pinhead on the body, as well as a small piece of the clear headstock veneer that has chipped off near the tuning peg (common problem on gibson guitars) which can all be seen in the picture. Very light wear, but worth mentioning. This is the best balanced SG I’ve ever played, no “neck dive” even though it is a very light guitar. Only selling this because I bought a Les Paul and would like a semi-hollowbody. I only accept paypal and will not ship internationally. Will ship in an original gibson box. 2000 Gibson Epiphone G400 SG guitar Made in Korea
2000 Gibson Epiphone G400 SG guitar Made in Korea
Price: 204.49
This is a 2000 Epiphone G400, one of the ones made in Korea back before they started making them in China. The truss rod cover says “Gibson” on it whereas the new ones say “SG”. It is extremely well made and has a beautiful cherry finish. It has been played regularly, and so there are some minor wear areas and light dings. Some light belt buckle rash is on the back, but not through the finish. The original pickup selector switch was replaced at one time with a metal one, and shows plating wear. The guitar has a nice “worn in” look and feel to it, very comfortable to play and it has nice low action and does not buzz or fret out even while bending strings. The humbuckers sound smooth and clear when played clean, and with a good overdrive the bridge pickup can growl and the neck pickup will easily produce early Clapton “woman tone”. Very fast action and the double cutaway permits access to the highest frets on the guitar. The original Epiphone hard case is included. Overall this guitar is in very nice condition, and everything works great as it should. It’s kind of hard to find these older Korean made models now. Get this one with a case while you can….Guitar Info:Epiphone G400 Cherry finish serial# I00022451Your guitar was made at the Saein Plant, KoreaFebruary 2000Production Number: 2451 About Saein Musical Instrument Co. Gibson SG Coil Splitting Pickups White Made in the USA LOB No Reserve!
Gibson SG Coil Splitting Pickups White Made in the USA LOB No Reserve!
Price: 415.0
Gibson SG Coil Splitting Guitar – Made in the USA
Up for sale is a Gibson SG. This is a really great guitar with great tone. I just haven’t hardly used it since I bought it. It doesn’t make much sense to keep it so I am selling it here. It is also up for sale locally so it may get ended early if I get any bites on it that way. In the interest of full disclosure there is one very small flaw with the guitar. At one point I tried a set of Heavy Bottom Ernie Ball strings on this guitar which sounded awesome but I forgot to tighten the truss rod before putting them on and it pulled the neck such that a hairline crack appeared in the laminate coating where the neck attaches to the guitar on the back. It is barely noticeable and you wouldn’t see it except in an extreme close up pic. I took the guitar to a luthier after that and he set it up with regular slinkys. The Luthier said the guitar was perfectly fine but since I value honesty and integrity I feel I need to disclose this strictly cosmetic flaw.
Hopefully you are a player and not a collector in which case it wouldn’t make a lick of difference to you whatsoever. Please let me know an email address if you would like additional pictures sent and I’ll send a picture of the crack in the laminate. Thanks for looking!
Here’s what Musician’s Friend has to say about it:
http://www.musiciansfriend.com/guitars/gibson-sg-standard-with-coil-splitting-electric-guitar
A new classic for rocking the 21st century.
The Gibson SG Standard electric guitar has a slim, lightweight mahogany body with the unmistakable twin cutaways, pointed horns, and beveled edges; the fastest neck in the business;and a pair of Gibson’s screamin’ BurstBucker pickups with coil-splitting for single-coil tones. This beauty also features trapezoid inlays along its elegantly bound 22-fret rosewood fingerboard while a fine mother-of-pearl Gibson logo and holly inlay decorate the guitar’s headstock. Solid Mahogany Body Probably the most central of all Gibson SG features is its solid mahogany body. The mahogany goes through the same rigorous selection process as all of Gibson’s woods, and is personally inspected and qualified by Gibson’s team of skilled wood experts before it enters the factories. Inside the Gibson factories, humidity is maintained at 45 percent, and the temperature at 70 degrees. This ensures all woods are dried to a level of equilibrium, where the moisture content does not change during the manufacturing process. This guarantees tight-fitting joints and no expansion, and controls the shrinkage and warping of the woods, in addition to reducing the weight. It also improves the woods’ machinability and finishing properties. Consistent moisture content means that the Gibson SG will respond evenly to temperature and humidity changes long after it leaves the factory. Gibson SG Standard*2001*Heritage Cherry*NO RESERVE*
Price: 406.0
*NO RESERVE*Up for auction is a 2001 Gibson SG Standard in great condition. This all original SG has screaming tone with a very fast neck. The frets are in great shape, the action is low and the neck is straight. There are no splits, cracks, breaks or repairs anywhere, just moderate play wear with a few nicks and scratches (pictured). Comes with a non original hardshell case. The serial number is 00411571
The Gibson SG Standard Electric Guitar is one of
the most popular incarnations of the renowned Gibson SG. It takes the
best of the ’62 original and adds the longer and sturdier neck joint of
the late ’60s models. All the classic features you’d expect from a
historic guitar. Hot humbuckers go from rich, sweet lightning to warm,
tingling waves of sustain. A silky-fast rosewood fretboard plays like a
dream. The original-style beveled mahogany body looks like a million
bucks. Plus, Tune-O-Matic bridge and chrome hardware.A Little SG HistoryIn
1961, the Les Paul was redesigned with a thinner body and 2 sharp
cutaway horns that making the upper frets more accessible while lowering
production costs. The new guitar was popular, but Les Paul the
guitarist did not like it and asked to have his name removed. Gibson
renamed the model the “SG” which was short for “solid guitar”. Though
Les Paul’s name was officially removed from the model in 1961, the
plastic Les Paul nameplates (positioned between the rhythm pickup and
fingerboard) were in abundance in the Gibson factory and SG models
having these nameplates were built and sold by Gibson up to end of 1963.
SGs have been the choice of world-class artists such as Pete Townsend,
Eric Clapton, Tony Iommi, and Angus Young.

2005 Gibson SG Standard with Case – Cherry Finish – NO RESERVE
2005 Gibson SG Standard with Case – Cherry Finish – NO RESERVE
Price: 355.0
2005 Gibson SG Standard with Original Case – Repaired Cracks- NO RESERVESCROLL DOWN FOR PHOTOSI listed this one last week but a late bid from a bidder in a country I can not ship to messed up the auction. In the name of fairness I’m relisting it again with no reserve. If you are an international bidder please contact me BEFORE bidding to be sure I can ship to your location.Up for bids is a 2005 model Gibson SG Standard complete with the original Gibson case and a Gibson strap with strap-locks. This is the glossy finish version with chrome hardware, large pickguard, and trapezoid inlays. The guitar appears to be all original, but as you can see in the photos the body has been cracked near the input jack and the neck has been cracked right at the base of the headstock. Apparently the fellow I got this one from did a leap onstage and got tangled up in his cables and the guitar took a fall. The wood in the cracked areas has been reglued and fairly well stabilized but no finish work has been done to cover the repairs (I actually think that’s a good thing as it allows you to see just what has happened to the wood). It’s strung up to pitch and it plays and stays in tune just fine, and while the repairs feel very solid they just don’t look that great. I’m including lots of photos taken from different angles to help show what I’m talking about so be sure to take a good look to know what you are bidding on. Aside from the cracks and repairs the guitar is actually in pretty nice shape. There are some small nicks and dings in the laquer and a few light impressions but nothing major. The hardware is clean and everything is in good working order electronically. The neck is straight with easy playing action and nice frets. The case is clean with good latches and hinges. Since this one has the repairs I’m going to offer it AS IS and with NO RESERVE. If you have access to a good finish person, or can do the work yourself, I think you could make the repairs looks a lot better and you just might get a great deal. U.S. shipping and insurance will be $35 (more to Alaska and Hawaii).
CANADIAN SHIPPING: International Priority Mail postage and insurance to Canada will be $60.
INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING: International bids are welcome, but please email for a shipping quote before bidding as shipping is not available to all countries due to size limits on U.S. International Priority Mail. For example, I CAN NOT ship to South America, Australia, Israel and several other countries. Shipping to Russia may be available but it will be via the more expensive Express Mail. Limited Edition Gibson Epiphone G-400 SG (Pelham Blue)
Limited Edition Gibson Epiphone G-400 SG (Pelham Blue)
Price: 331.0
This is an Epiphone G-400 SG that we picked up used a few months ago. You could hardly tell from looking at it – this guitar is in PERFECT condition! So it felt like quite the steal when we bought it. Regretfully, we haven’t had opportunity to really put it to use ourselves – which means it’s still as perfect as the day we bought it!
We’ve had a bit of trouble identifying the specifics of this guitar. It’s marked “Limited Edition” and was manufactured in 2007 – we’ve deduced that much. It looks similar to a ’65 reissue, but lacks the tremolo bar and Maestro Vibrato tailpiece – we haven’t found anything quite like this in the past. It’s got Alnico Classic (in the neck) and Alnico Hot (in the bridge) humbuckers, Tune-O-Matic tailpiece, 2 volume knobs and 2 tone controls knobs with a 3-position switch, and standard Grover tuners. It’s a beautiful guitar that just feels natural and sounds great! … Click for more info
