Original Fender Stratocaster 1961 with Brown Tolex Case

Original Fender Stratocaster 1961 with Brown Tolex Case!Great Sounding!
1961 All Original Except For Some Screws, Fender Decal, And Paint. Yes I Painted It! My Mistake Is Your Gain.
I Purchased It Used In 1969.
It Had An Original Fender White Finish.
Fender Made A Great Sounding Guitar, But Their Finish Didnâ??t Hold Up.
I Stripped It Down With Paint Remover And Refinished It With Clear Lacquer. (I Donâ??t Remember The Manufacturerâ??s Name.) Oh, Keep Quiet, It Wasnâ??t A Collectorâ??s Item At That Time!
Surprisingly, I Did Not Paint Over Any Of The Penciled In Identification Marks And You Can Clearly See Them.
If You Have It Custom Painted Make Sure They Donâ??t Paint Over Them.
This Guitar Has A Rare Birds Eye Maple Neck And A Beautiful Ash Body. I Received The Fender Decal In June Of 2008. I Paid A Factory Approved Technician To Install A New Nut On The Neck. He Sent Pictures to Fender To Verify It Was A 1961 Fender Stratocaster, Before They Would Send The Decal To Him.
The Body Has Some Scratches. There Are No Cracks In The Pick Guard. The Plastic Vibrato Cover On The Back Has Cracks In Three Different Screw Holes, But No Breaks. The Neck Has A Small Repaired Crack Near Tuning Keys, Some Fret Wear And New Screws Where The Neck Attaches To The Body. There Are New Screws In The Pick Guard And Vibrato Cover. There Are New Screws And Springs On The Bridge Adjustment. The Case Is In Good Shape And Original; Some Wear.

Tom Delonge Fender Strat Blue!!!!!!
Posted by brian in Uncategorized on July 27th, 2009
This is a good condition Tom Delonge Pastel Blue Stratocaster. I am the original owner and have taken great care of it. The only additions are a pick holder of the back of the head which can be taken off. I also added strap locks, with the strap included; if you’re going to jump and play like Blink, these are a necssity! This was my main guitar that I played, so it does have some very minor paint chips which are pictured. This is a great guitar which always receives compliments on the appearance as well as the awesome punk sound. With Blink back together and going on tour, there isn’t a better time to get this guitar. … Click For More Info

1993 Gibson Nighthawk Custom - Top of the Line
Posted by brian in Uncategorized on July 26th, 2009
1st year of Production - Voted “Guitar of the Year”
Flamed Maple - Ebony Fretboard - Coil Tap
Original Gibson Hard Shell Case is Included
What is a Nighthawk Custom?
A nighthawk is Gibson’s version of a stratocaster with thru-the-back strings.
The body is similar to a Les Paul but slimmer and lighter.
The neck pickup is a super hot version of the traditional mini-humbucker that was found in the Gibson Firebird.
The center pickup is a large single coil that was a special ceramic alloy type that put out twice the normal output.
The bridge pickup is a Les Paul Style humbucker , but set on a slant , like a Strat.
In addition it has a 5-way pickup switch and a Coil Tap activated by pulling up on the 2nd top-hat knob.
In terms of sound, the five way switch gives you a range that includes a strat-like twang, a rich and sharp rock attack like an SG,
and a sweet clean tone that was very similar to a Les Paul. It is probably one of the most versatile guitars Gibson ever made.
It is also very easy to play , the action is low and fast and the overall size is very comfortable.
If you are familar with Gibson , when they use the “Custom” designation it means Top-of-the-Line details.
This guitar is no exception with a Flamed Maple body , Ebony Fretboard , lavish thick binding overall ,
the Custom “pineapple” on the headstock and large mother-of-pearl “pineapple” fret markers.
This Gibson version of a stratocaster is still loved by a strong cult of guitar players who appreciate it’s fine design and distinctive sound.
The Nighthawk had a five year run and it’s not a stretch to say that some day
this interesting and beautifully designed guitar should be regarded as a classic like other past designs.
Any issues?
The condition of this guitar would be close to perfect , except for something that is my own damn fault.
Some years ago it tipped off my guitar stand and put a ding in the front.
It’s about 1/2 inch by 1/4 inch and not very deep , as the finish isn’t broken.
I did my best to get a close-up of it , but oddly enough it isn’t really that noticable
as you may be able to tell from some of the other pictures. From even a few feet away it’s hard to see
and after some years , I actually forgot it was there.
Why am I selling it?
Absolutely FORCED to , because of financial considerations , including a divorce after 30 years!
I truly LOVE this guitar and would never sell it , but ……… Damn , have to!

First Ever Gibson Piano!
The 88 year-old legendary artist Les Paul has signed the first-ever Gibson Piano
Legendary guitarist Les Paul, whose signature launched Gibson’s first solidbody electric guitar in 1952, has “signed off” on another major Gibson product line â?? the first Gibson piano. The visionary inventor and musician visited Gibson in Nashville during the recent Summer NAMM show and assigned his autograph to the limited edition Gibson Studio piano made by Baldwin. The upright model sports the same “cherry sunburst” finish as Gibson’s most famous Les Paul guitars.Making his first trip to Nashville since recording the 1976 Grammy winning Chester and Lester album with Chet Atkins, the 88-year-old Paul also visited Gibson’s Baldwin Piano Showcase, where he signed the upper frames (upper cabinet front) of the entire limited edition of 100 Gibson Les Paul pianos. Each limited edition piano will sport an original autograph by the legendary artist himself.”We are thrilled to have Les Paul put his magical touch on our pianos. Les adds a distinction to the Gibson Studio model like no other performer of our time, and we’re honored to have him as part of our Gibson family for over 50 years now,” said Henry Juszkiewicz, Chairman and CEO of Gibson Corp. In addition to the guitar-like finish, the piano features a rich cherry Lyptus body with arms shaped like a guitar, legs shaped like two guitar necks joined at the fretboard, feet in the shape of the top of a headstock, the Gibson logo inlaid in the center of the upper frame, guitar-style tuner buttons for the piano pulls, and brass hardware. Lyptus, obtained from hybrid noble eucalyptus trees, is a high-quality hardwood grown on environmentally responsible plantations in Brazil.Baldwin Model 243 is the best-selling studio piano of all time, with nearly half a million instruments sold since its introduction in 1939. The 243 features Baldwin’s responsive Full-Blow¨ action and grand piano-like tone, due in part to a No. 1 bass string length that equals Baldwin’s 5-foot, 8-inch R grand.Les Paul is the world’s most famous guitarist and the leading proponent of the solidbody electric guitar. He joined forces with Gibson to create the Gibson Les Paul model. Paul’s endorsement agreement with Gibson eventually became the most successful in the history of musical instruments, and the distinctive, trademarked Gibson Les Paul body shape is now recognized around the world as an icon for rock and roll music.Gibson is known worldwide … Click For More Info
Gibson Custom Shop Zakk Wylde Les Paul - Camo/Bullseye

History
From his early work with Ozzy Osbourne, to his seminal playing with Black Label Society, to his distinctive solo outings, Zakk Wylde has distinguished himself as one of the most fierce lead players in all of rock. A technique as furious and aggressive demands a guitar to match. Gibson Custom is honored to work with Wylde to create a guitar that features his trademark bullseye graphics, EMG humbucking pickups and raw, unfinished necks. The Zakk Wylde Les Paul from Gibson Custom is the ultimate weapon for guitarists looking to hack out anything from metal to grunge to the most raw shred styles.
Body
The guitar is constructed under close guidance from Wylde and built to the same specs as his original Les Paul Custom guitar, beginning with the Les Paulâ??s traditional carved maple top and solid mahogany back with multi-ply black and white binding around the top and back. The neck is a three-piece maple neck with no finish, giving the exact, slick feel of Wyldeâ??s original. The neck is topped with a 22-fret ebony fingerboard with pearl block inlays, multi-ply black and white binding along the fingerboard, and Gibsonâ??s classic rounded profile.
Hardware
All of the guitarâ??s hardware is finished in gold, including its Nashville Tune-o-matic bridge and stopbar tailpiece. The pickups are exactly the same as the ones in Wyldeâ??s original guitar: an EMG85 in the neck position, and an EMG81 in the bridge position. The EMG85 has more measurable output, but its frequency response and string interface are different, yielding a warmer and more natural tone and delivering balanced and uniform string response. The wide aperture of the coils produces a beefier low end and fatter top end, with loads of output that doesnâ??t get muddy. The EMG81 is its perfect compliment, working best for high volume overdrive and amps with a master volume and producing a razor sharp attack with incredible sustain for brilliant soloing. Each Zakk Wylde Les Paul Custom comes with the standard Gibson Custom hardshell case, custom care kit and a Certificate of Authenticity signed by Zakk himself
Nitrocellulose Finish
Applying a nitrocellulose finish to any Gibson guitar is one of the most labor-intensive elements of the guitar-making process. A properly applied nitro finish requires extensive man hours, several evenly applied coats, and an exorbitant amount of drying time. But this fact has never swayed Gibson into changing this time-tested method, employed ever since the first … Click For More Info
