Info: RARE Vintage Electra Model X220 Omega LP-style guitar with flamed cherry sunburst maple top. Everything looks original. This model was produced between 1976 and 1981. Don’t know the year of this guitar as the serial number sticker is missing from the rear of the headstock. Sunburst top is has a nice dark honey center and dark red edges and the wide flames are subtle in a chevron shape but very pretty to look at.
Mahogany body, maple neck with rosewood fretboard and mother of pearl trapezoid inlays. Don’t know if the maple top is solid or laminated with veneer. Bound neck, headstock and body front. Brass nut. Weight of guitar is light for a LP-style guitar but still has some heft. Back has a nice waist bevel cut for comfort.
2 super magnaflux humbucking pickups. 5-way rotary Tone Spectrum pickup selector switch. I volume, 1 tone knob and 2 tone color switches. Electronics work fine. The pickups are powerful sounding and are great for blues and rock.
Medium-size frets have some wear on first few from nut under the plain strings but much life left. Tuners are also Electra-made and are quality and still feel firm. The action is low and fast and this guitar plays great.
Neck shape is what I would call a tapering thin to medium thickness C-shape from nut to body, very comfortable to play.
The guitar has a nice, natural light relic appearance. There are a few little nicks, light dings and light scratches on the back body edges and top and a few minor paint chips throughout and picking/strumming marks on the top. There is some light corrosion to the bridge saddles and screw heads and some light pitting to the stop bar. Overall, the guitar looks great for being 30 some years old and has a nice vintage appearance.
Lightly padded Fender gig bag included. Buyer can send me a hardshell case for the delivery at their expense if they desire.
