Fender STRATOCASTER 40th aniversary, purple anodized finish, maple neck, have owned since 94 when it arrived in the local music store. FENDER 40th ANNIVERSARY ALUMINUM STRATOCASTER Limited Edition Electric Guitar. Built in USA, 1994. Marble purple anodized ” bowling ball” finish. Extremely rare hollow aluminum cast body, originally commissioned by Harley Davidson. This is an anniversary edition, with headstock badge and engraved neck plate “1994, 40 years and still rocking”. Original Hard case. I have only seen two other of these, and the asking price was well over $4000. This one has been played. There’s a cigarette burn on the headstock, some varnish chipping between the 5th and seventh fret, and the heel where the strap button is has taken a hit. Electronics are absolutely unaltered, still plays, looks and sounds great. I have lowered the reserve enough to make this rare collectible affordable.
