Fender Telecaster Frankenstein Guitar

Fender Telecaster Frankenstein Guitar

Info:  This is going to be a long story.  This guitar started out as about a 2007 Fender American Ash Tele.  When I got it, it was extremely heavy.  A good 9 lbs.  It weighed as much as my “74″ Les Paul Custom.  But boy did it sound good!  I just couldn’t take the weight.  So, I orderd a custom body from The Guitar Mill in Nashville, TN.  This body is chamberd and is very light and is finished in Aztec Gold Laquer.  Very Pretty color.  I loved the sound of the pickups, so I used the stock American Ash Tele Pickups.  The body is based on a “52″ design, but I had them add the micro tilt to it.  Some people don’t like the micro tilt, but I do.  I put a Gotoh Vintage “52″ Tele Bridge on it.  Only this Gotoh Bridge has adjustable intonation.  I also put a expensive input jack on it.  I don’t remember the brand of it, but there is a good picture of it.  At first I used the tuners that came on the guitar.  They were the new style sealed tuners that Fender uses now, but after I got the guitar together, it was headstock heavy and it would want to lean down on the headstock side.  So, I had to fill the holes and put vintage style, light weight tuners on it.  That fixed the problem and I like those vintage tuners better anyway.  This guitar weighs right at 6 lbs.  Very light and tone you won’t believe.  I also bought a vintage style Fender case for it to.  I don’t like those plastic cases that Fender sends with their “New American” style guitars.  I’m afraid to even think of what I have in this guitar.  It is being offerd here on Ebay for much less then I have in it.  I’m not really a Tele guy, so I’m gonna turn this one.  It also has Dunlop strap locks on it and a mint colord pickgaurd.  The only issue is the filled holes for the tuners.  It’s only a cosmetic thing and it holds it’s tune just fine and it’s a very lightweight guitar.  The neck is good and straight and very easy to play.  9.5 radius with medium jumbo frets with a lot of fret life left.  This instrument has been in bars and is not stored in a smoke free environment so I do not gaurantee it to be free from smoke odor.  As far as that goes, I make no gaurantees about odor issues what so ever.  I accept returns only if I’ve made an error in the listing.  If you have any questions, email me before you bid on this. This guitar is offered for sale localy also.  If it sells localy before reserve is met, the auction will … Click For More Info
