Les Paul SG Standard VOS
You don’t have to be a Southern Legend to appreciate the sound and the soul of the SG Standard. This sculptured, fast-playing, versatile high-power classic has been driving rock, pop and blues for 40 years. It’s one of the all-time hard rockin’ favorites. Players like Duane Allman, Gary Rossington, Pete Townshend, Angus Young, Tony Iommi, Eric Clapton, George Harrison, Jerry Garcia and many others changed the shape of music with this “Horny Devil”
This amazing re-creation with Maestro Tailpiece includes pickups and long neck tenon modeled precisely on the original. The the Faded Cherry finish is cherry! And! The VOS aging treatment makes it look exactly like a vintage original instrument that’s been treated with loving care for its whole life. Originally intended to bring a new style to the Les Paul line, the SG was renamed in 1963. With its ultra-thin, double-cutaway body, the SG was lighter than the Les Paul and allowed freer access to the upper register both features that rockers immediately appreciated. This reissue guitar features a mahogany body, Maestro tailpiece, 1960 slim-taper neck profile, vintage tulip tuners, and Burstbucker pickups.

This guitar was previously owned by a collector who bought it from us here at Route 66 when it was new. It’s been played, but well cared for. Condition would be mint if not for a few pick scratches on the pickguard. Comes complete with the OHSC, COA, hang tags, and all the vintage vibe and MOJO MAGIC you can handle!
