Offered for your approval is a 100% all original 1960 Vintage Fender Stratocaster. The condition and history of this guitar is amazing! It has a beautiful 3 tone sunburst original finish, and a very playable warm rosewood neck. There is little fret wear due to the fact that the original owner only used flat wound strings for the first 20 years he had it. The neck date is 12/60 and the pots date is the 36th week of 1960. All solder joints are original. The Slab Board Body has the 1/16â? nail holes that was common on the 60 through 64 Strats. The original pick guard is getting the green “tinge”. The emblems on the head stock are original. The grandson of the original owner sold the guitar to Rocky Athas. Rocky is the lead guitarist for John Mayall, noted Blues musician. Yep, the same John Mayall of John Mayall and the Blues Breakers. Rocky has recorded on John Mayallâ??s last album called â??Toughâ?. He is currently on tour with Mayall. An article on Rocky was in the December 2009 edition of Vintage Guitar Magazine on page 24. Rocky has handwritten a letter of authenticity on the 60 Stratocaster which he signed and notarized. It will go with the guitar. You can also watch his video with the guitar on my Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?v=feed&id=1030632026# (scroll down on the left) The guitar also comes with the original hard shell case( A similar case is selling for $3500 on Ebay) with the original trem bar, the original ownerâ??s manual. The guitar also comes with the original Fender polishing cloth, the key for the case and the original guitar instrument cable! I will include an autographed copy of the John Mayall CD with Rockyâ??s autograph and an autographed copy of the December issue of Vintage Guitar Magazine to the winning bid over $22,500. I will sell only to interested parties in the contiguous United States. I will accept PayPal. Shipping is $120 plus $225 for insurance. Any questions? Please give the ol coach a call: Click For Phone . Want to hear it in action? Anson Funderburgh, world renown Blues guitarist and a close friend of mine, asked me if he could play the Strat. He used his 57 Strat as a back up just for this gig!
