2002 Fender Custom Shop 1963 NOS Telecaster, Lake Placid Blue, one tiny ding , on lower bottom horn at near neck (see photo) otherwise excellent, Has Certificate , 9/2002 and all the case candy.. approx 7.7 lbs on my digital scale,, is vintage radius and frets.
I DID have a bone nut installed (much better sounding) but the luthier saved the original nut as shown in photo.
Is a great sounding Tele. From Don Rich to Jimmy Page. Nice Twangy Tele, Is a comfortable small C. shaped neck, neither beefy or thin.
I am the Original owner and as such when I received custom ordered Custom Shop Tele (since it is
called a 1963) I insisted on a Brown Fender Case instead of the Black Tolex that the
custom shop used. ( from the history of fender as best I know Brown Tolex would be correct for 1963 and Black 1964)..
The store manager I ordered from agreed and custom ordered The Brown Tolex G&G case for me.
This Tele never gigged or left my house.
I changed to modern three way switch wiring, which is much better.
