Fender Japan Foto Flame Telecaster / Tele w/ upgrades

Info:  ca. 1995 Fender Foto Flame Telecaster / Tele.  This guitar has some playwear, dings and a not-so-nice route for the added neck position P90 pickup.  As evidenced by the pictures of the control plate, it seems to have been a platform for some pickup swaps and currently is equipped with a Kent Armstrong P90 in the neck postion and a Fender Texas Special Tele Bridge pickup.  The control plate is reversed with the volume control in the front, tone in the middle and switch to the rear.  It has an upgraded Sprague tone cap, Callaham heavy knurled knobs, and Electrosocket jack cup and compensated brass saddles.  The neck is really comfy – a medium ‘C’ shape and there is only minimal fretwear.  It’s strung up with a set of .010′s (although it may be an .011 on the first string.)
The neck pickup position was apparently routed by hand (not mine!) and is a little choppy.  It looks like the chisel slipped and a small (1/4″) piece was chipped off of the end of the fingerboard, past the last fret so it doesn’t interfere with playability in any way.  Take a look at the pictures.  The compensated vintage-style brass saddles allow for great intonation and retain the classic Tele sound.  This is a great guitar and you don’t have to be afraid to take it out.
The guitar comes with a Gibson molded plastic hardshell case.
This item will only ship to the continental USA.
