Up for auction is an absolutely gorgeous, near mint 100% original 1957 ES 225 TN, s/n U2244 35 1. This guitar gorgeous, with the only finish damage is a few pin head sized nicks on the front edge of the headstock. There are no scratches, or even checking in the original blonde finish. The only thing that keeps this guitar from being mint are the forementioned headstock chips, a warped pickguard with light pick marks (quite common on these) and some light pitting on the tailpiece, mostly due to the old rusty strings that were on this guitar. Other than that, this guitar is perfect. the original Kluson Deluxes show zero wear or shrinkage to the buttons and are still tight. No fret wear or wear to the awesome dark Brazilian fingerboard. No finish wear, no neck wear. Really no nothing! The guitar is 100% original with NO mods or repairs EVER. Probably one of the cleanest natural 225s on the market today. The guitar comes shipped in its original Cali girl hard case (This one was made by Stone, which are more rare than the Lifton cases of the era and most people say better). It also has its original hang tag!!!!!. The guitar spent nearly the last 50 years in the case, never seeing daylight, or being played, and the condition shows, though the case shows scuffs on the outside and wear to the handle. Shipping prices will vary, figure about 45.00 insured USPS Priority close to New York, and up to 75.00 to the west coast, w/ insurance.
