Info:
Up for auction is an absolutely gorgeous 100% original 1966 ES 125 TDC, s/n 877997. This guitar is in excellent condition for its age showing very light checking on the body, a little more on the back of the neck, and a few chips mostly on the headstock edges in its original beautiful finish. There is ZERO fade to the cherry sunburst (even under the guard). It has 2 killer sounding original P90s. Also this one is quite rare in that it is factory equipped with a factory studded ABR-1 tuneomatic bridge (yes this one has ABR-1 cast on the underside with the little casting symbol, a rare bridge in that these were only made in late 65 early 66 in chrome) as used on the SG Standard an ES 335s of this era. Also this is the last year for the nice reflector knobs. All of the hardware including the original Klusons is in excellent plus to near mint condition. The neck is straight with a tight neck joint (some cips in the lacquer there, which is quite common on these), the frets are great and it plays killer. The only thing ever done to this was that a tiny screw hole was added for a strap button on the upper bout near the neck heel (see pics). The guitar comes shipped in what I am pretty sure is the original chipboard case that has faired worse than the guitar. Please ask any and all questions you may have or request any additional photos. Shipping prices will vary, figure about 45.00 insured USPS Priority close to New York, and up to 75.00 to the west coast, w/ insurance. The guitar is for sale locally, so I reserve the right to end this auction early.
