In 1997 Gibson introduced the Gibson Ace Frehley Les Paul Signature with Ace’s personal design and touches . The guitar featured 3 DiMarzio pickups, a fat ’59 style neck, maple top, mahogany body/neck, lightning bolt inlays on the fingerboard, Ace Frehley signature at the 12th fret, bound body, neck and headstock with an Ace Frehley graphic logo on peghead and “Ace” truss rod cover, tune-o-matic bridges with stop bars and were made in heritage cherry sunburst finishes. Very limited quantities were produced, and were discontinued in 2001.
This Ace Frehley Les Paul is in excellent condition and from the first year run. It features a clean and vibrant Heritage Cherry Sunburst Finish on a nicely figured maple top, mahogany body and neck. The three blazing hot DiMarzio pickups read 13.36 for both the bridge and middle and 12.83 for the neck. The guitar plays great with fast action and has tone for days. The top is clean with minimal play wear, the back shows a bit of buckle rash, a testament to the playability of this spectacular guitar. Kiss will have broken up (again!) and gotten back together (again!) by the time this auction ends, so don’t miss this opportunity to get a significant piece of rock music history before their next reunion tour!!!
