Info: this is my gibson les paul i bought new in 1977. this is the year that gibson changed from a solid one piece mahoganybody to a 3 piece design. it has the sharp cutaway body raised bound black pickguard,22 small fret bound ebony fingerboard with pearl block inlay, tune o matic bridge stop tailpiece, multi bound peghead with pearl split diamond logo inlay, 3 per side gibson tuners, gold hardware, 2 patent number humbuckers, 2 volume and 2 tone controls, 3 position switch in black finish.
this was my workhorse for many years and it does carry a few scars. it is not a showpiece but is a fantastic player. the finish has scratches and dings but it does not affect the sound or playing. it comes with original tailpiece i replaced and the best hardshell case gibson ever made, the so called chainsaw case which is practically bulletproof.
