Up for auction is a Gibson Custom Shop 1959 ReIssue Les Paul Billy Gibbons ”Pearly Gates” VOS Model electric guitar. Still has all the hang tags on it! Has a real vintage feel and vibe to it! This rare guitar is a meticulous re-creation of the original ‘59 Les Paul Standard that’s currently owned by Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top. This is a limited run of 250 guitars that have been given the VOS finish. 

To most guitar and blues aficionados, Billy Gibbons is much more than just a renowned, Texas rock and blues guitarist.  His legendary skills are quite evident on any ZZ Top song, and Billy has often been referred to as “The King Of Tone”. He’s also a very serious collector of high end vintage guitars, vintage Fender tweed tube amps and rare collectable cars. 
â?¨The Billy Gibbons Pearly Gates VOS ‘59 Les Paul Standard faithfully captures that celebrated tone, along with every precious detail of the original. Starting with the Les Paul’s traditional hand-carved highly flamed maple top and solid, non-weight relieved mahogany back, this instrument is pure Gibson, right down to such time-honored appointments like CTS potentiometers and bumble-bee capacitors, holly headstock veneer, vintage style tuners and a rounded neck profile similar to those on the original Les Pauls from 1959.
