Have you seen the flame on this thing? Absolutely incredible! Super Vibrant Cherry Sunburst finish on a bound 3D flame-tastic bookmatched maple top. Fast easy buzz-free action on a straight neck. All original solder joints, pickup covers never removed, comes with the original case, brown exterior and pink interior, in excellent shape. Some play wear, as seen in the photos. The flame will hypnotize you and you won’t be able to notice anything else. You won’t even know if you are playing it or not!
Comes with all the good stuff: trapezoid inlay on a bound rosewood fingerboard, two rockin Tim Shaw PAF humbuckers, 2 tone/2 volume, vintage style tipped tuners, tune-o-matic bridge with stoptail - all original nickel parts in excellent condition!

According to the Vintage Guitar Magazine article in 2004 by Mike Slubowski, Gibson finally released a Les Paul ReIssue model. For whatever reason, they were careful not to call it a ‘59 reissue. The ReIssue was an immediate hit with LP lovers, since it had features that were closer to the ‘59 such as thin binding on the cutaway, nickel hardware, ABR-1 bridge, vintage style knobs, and highly figured tops. None of the reissues had a long neck tenon. The serial number configuration is Y XXXX with the first number representing the year it was manufactured. These guitars vary in weight with the lightest at 8 lbs. 9 oz. and the heaviest at 10 lbs. 8oz.
Weighs: A lightweight 9 lbs, 8 oz.
Bridge Pickup reads 7.46 ohms, stamped 373883.
Neck Pickup reads 7.31 ohms, stamped 372384. Inside neck pickup cavity is marked HCSB. Both pickups embossed with Patent # 2737842
2 Pots read 1378414, and the other two are 137840X. I believe they both end in 4, but there is some solder covering up the last digits, so I couldn’t say for sure.
Serial reads 4 00XX (kept private for security reasons)
I recommend a getting a set-up on any guitar shipped across the country, especially during the change of seasons. I also recommend insurance on such a beautiful instrument.
This 59′ ReIssue deserves a good home. It is a wise investment and just plain fun to play.
