Info:  2007 GIBSON CUSTOM SHOP STANDARD SG VOS in  VERY GOOD/Excellent condition. —NO RESERVE AUCTION—– Played at home only. Has been GENTLY played and not gigged. Currrent price at Musicians Friend is $3399.00  BUY IT NOW and shipping will be included in the price for 48 contiguous USA ONLY. Very cool, light and great playing and sounding GIBSON SG. Normal player swirl from play but nothing excessive. ONE tiny pinpoint ding on front of guitar. Otherwise simple marking on pickguard and slight discoloration from guitar hanger on BACK of neck. NO BIG DEAL and NO RESERVE. Plays effortlessly. Only selling to thin the herd. I had the pickups changed to GIBSON ZEBRA 490 neck and 498 Bridge.I DO NOT HAVE ORIGINAL PICKUPS. The VOS pickups stock were TOO mellow for my taste and these give the guitar more bite. They were installed by a luthier in Austin, Texas who has done guitar work personally for Stevie and EJ. He also set up the guitar as well. Featuring an ultra-thin, two-horned body, the SG series addressed 2 of what Ted McCarty saw as the major issues of the now-retired Les Paul body style: weight and limited access to the upper treble register. The new body shape of the SG Standard was dramatically lighter than the old Les Paul and offered access to the entire fretboard. This amazing re-creation includes pickups and long neck tenon modeled precisely on the original.
