Info: This is an original owner 2009 Les Paul Traditional Pro in ebony w/ Gibson USA hard shell case.
Guitar originally came with a Burstbucker 3 in the bridge and a Classic 57 in the neck (both coil splitting with push/pull pot.) I replaced the muddy sounding Burstbucker with a WCR Godwood bridge pickup. This is the greatest Les Paul pickup ever created IMO. I have used numerous factory/boutique pickups through the years and this one is the perfect balance of vintage/modern and NEVER gets harsh sounding. At my request, my tech did not wire the Godwood for coil splitting capability……….I don’t know why anyone would want to coil split a Les Paul bridge anyway. But the original push/pull pot is still in the guitar so you can easily rewire the Godwood for splitting if you desire. The original neck 57′ is still in the guitar with original coil splitting wiring. It can cop a pretty good strat impersonation with the pot pulled out.
Neck is a tapered 60’s style and perfectly straight. No tuning or intonation instabilities at all.
Absolutely no buckle rash or operational flaws of any kind. There is one small scratch on the top close to the rear strap peg. It measures 1cm in length and is only superficial (not through to the wood). It is very difficult to see. The last picture shows the scuff as close up as possible without camera distortion.
This guitar is heavy due to the lack of weight relief. But it makes up in tone for that IMO ! Really fat sounding Lester. I’m not sure of the exact weight, but I will try to weigh it soon and add that info. into the listing. It is definately over 10 lbs.
FedEx insured shipping will be a flat $40 in the lower 48 states. Read this……..I WILL ONLY SHIP TO THE LOWER 48……….period. I have had too many problems with international buyers lowballling the shipping quotes and then squabbling about paying the full amount after winning the auction. Local pickup is also available.
This is a really awesome guitar and is everything I would ever want in a Lester. The buyer will be getting a killer guitar at a killer price. Unfortunately, I am forced to sell it due to financial reasons.
Thanks for looking !!!
