1997 Gibson SG ‘61 Reissue
Made in the USA
This
Gibson SG ‘61 Reissue model was made in 1997 and features a mahogany
body and
a 60’s style mahogany neck
with a 24.75″
scale rosewood
fingerboard with 22 frets and trapezoid inlays and binding. The
guitar has a nitrocellulose Heritage Cherry finish. The electronics consist of 2 Gibson Patent
Applied For humbucker
pickups controlled by a 3 way
switch and a volume
control and tone control for each pickup. The knobs are black
vintage style models and there is a small black
pickguard. The guitar has Gibson Deluxe
vintage style tuners with keystone keys. The bridge is a
Gibson
ABR-1 tune-o-matic with a stop tailpiece. The hardware has a Nickel finish.
The guitar has some minor
marks in the finish and some button marring to the finish on the rear
of the body
but is otherwise in excellent condition. The bridge pickups volume knob
has a small chip in the plastic. There is
no
fretwear and no wear to the rosewood fingerboard. The neck is straight and the
truss rod can adjust the relief to your preference. This
guitar plays
great, feels great, and has the classic 60’s Gibson SG look. A
Gibson TKL case is included.
