Info: Here we have a very fine 1967 Gibson SG Special. The guitar is 100% original with the exception of the knobs and the replaced Grover machine heads. This guitar plays and sounds just SUPERB with the P-90 pickups it has the tone your looking for, nice and warm and raw. The Maestro vibrato is in excellent shape along with the bridge and it works perfectly and stays in tune. I put on some new .010 guage Ernie Ball strings and cleaned and seasoned the rosewood fretboard.
The knobs are off a 60′s Fender amp and look somewhat right but they probably should be replaced.
The frets are in excellent almost perfect condition with only VERY minimal wear that is hard to see. The fretboard shows only the slightest amount of wear.
The finish of the guitar is overall fairly clean with no laquer checking. There is some belt buckle wear on the back of the body but no wear through to the wood. There is some nicking here and there mostly on the sides of the guitar some of them through to the wood.
The cherry finish has faded somewhat but still retains the look of being a cherry finish.
The pots are all date matched 13767xx with all the solder joints being untouched.
The serial# is 096xxx.
The original case is in very rough shape but still barely functional and good enough to be used for shipping.
She weighs in at 8 lbs.
