I am only the 3rd owner of this guitar, the original
owner purchased the guitar in 1973. I purchase this guitar a 4 years ago and
now hate to sell it, but unfortunately it must go because of finance purposes. The
guitar is in overall good condition and sounds incredible. Overall the body,
hardware and neck is a honest play wear which is OK for the 36 year
old guitar. The
neck is arrow straight in a medium to thin profile with no breaks or
repairs. There is some rash on the backside, front and overall the body but
nothing serious. The sound is incredible. The ebony fingerboard is pristine
with the original “Fretless Wonder” frets showing minimal wear and
have plenty of life left. Second fret has a little crack which one professionall
repaired a few years ago. Itâ??s really isnâ??t anything serious and you canâ??t really feel it when you are playing. Original hard case is including.
The
guitar sells as is. No return. Please ask all questions before biding. Shipping
is $80 to any 48 US states Thru UPS fully insured
and professional package. Payment via PayPal E-check option only. Please ask if
donâ??t know what it is.
Good
luck.============================================================================================================================

Gibson Les Paul Classic Premium Plus excellent 1994
Posted by brian in Les Paul Custom on April 12th, 2009
I bought this guitar from friend a few years ago, and have played it exclusively in church. It is all stock except the strap locks (I’ll include these and the original strap pins). My scale is not very accurate, but I get 8.5 lbs. According to the below info., this one is light. Itâ??s lighter than my 1960 Classic. There are slight nicks and scratches all around, and a place just in front of the bridge pickup where there is the slightest flaw in the nitro finish (I played it for two years before noticing it- non-photographical). Slight wearing of the nickel on the bridge and stop bar. All these are very small and only you will notice them, but I like to be completely up front.
Gibson stamped â??CLASSIC PLUSâ? in the bridge pickup cavity, and this is accompanied by a superimposed stamp, â??Checked on x2 1994â? Iâ??m not sure if it says â??2, 1994â?, or â??12, 1994â?. In any case, it was built in 1994. There are no issues with the guitar. The neck is not as thick as my 2005 1960 Classic- more like that of a Stratocaster; both pickups are very toneful, and the bridge pickup is particularly raucous. $70.00 flat-rate insured shipping to 48 continental United States. Domestic shipping only.
From the Gibson forum:
â??As history goes, J.T. Riboloff of the Custom Shop had been approached by a lot of players who asked him to build special one-off Les Pauls with slimmer profile necks as found on the 1960 Standard. After consultation with Henry Juszkiewicz, Gibsonâ??s CEO, a production version appeared in 1990. Classics had many features of reissue Les Pauls, including a smaller headstock, nickel hardware, ABR-1 bridge, Kluson style tuners, and vintage style knobs. For the first few years they did have the thin binding in the cutaway, but that changed by approximately 1993. To meet the demands of modern musicians seeking a high output sound, the Classics were equipped with hot 496R and 500T ceramic magnet pickups.
The original intention for the Classic model was to have plain tops, but given player demand for figured tops, the Classic Plus (with â??AAâ? grade flame tops) and Classic Premium Plus models (with â??AAAâ? grade flame tops) were introduced in 1992/93. The â??AAAâ? tops were supposed to be the most highly figured, with flame going from edge to edge, although there are some Classic Plus models with outstanding flame tops that rival their Classic Premium Plus brethren. Accounts vary on the exact start and end years, but the Les Paul Classic Premium Plus was introduced in the 1993 time frame, discontinued in 1997, and reintroduced from 1999 through 2001. The USA Classic Premium Plus models weights varied, but most are in the low 9 pound range.

Gibson SG Standard w/OHSC 1999 Heritage Cherry
The only signs of wear are extremely minor. There is no buckle rash, gashes, dents, or gouges. Nothing like that. The only thing that comes close at all is represented in the picture just above the nut where I there is some superficial wear from where this guitar hung on a wall mount holder. The intonation is excellect. Everything is in perfect working order.
Only reason I’m selling it is because I’ve acquired many other guitars. This was my first “real” guitar and it was what I thought I wanted at the time. My tastes have changed and this particular guitar has gone virtually unplayed for about two years now.
It includes the original hard shell case, also in very good condition.
I’ve provided pictures to the best of my photographic ability but if you’d like to see something in particular just shoot me a message and let me know.
Now all the ugly stuff that seems to have become necessary: No international sales. Don’t even ask – you’ll be lucky if I reply and if I do it’ll probably be rude because I made a special point of saying no International sales here. If you’ve got negative feedback it may raise some questions and affect the sale. If you bid and don’t follow through I’ll pursue every legitimate remedy available to me as an eBay and/or PayPal customer. Seriously, let’s not make this harder than it needs to be.

This is a great vintage guitar that came to me from the original owner. He stated that he purchased it new in 1966.The serial number is 671*** and that seems to match his story within a year either way. There are NO condition issues other than normal wear besides the volume knob being replaced with an old Framus knob that I had on hand.It is a close match and you probably would not have noticed but I thought that I should mention it.There are NO cracks, breaks or repairs to this guitar. The neck is straight, the trussrod works, the frets show some wear in the first postion but are in good shape. The strings are set reasonably low and it has just been set up with a set of light Ernie Ball 10-46 strings. It plays and sounds great. The guitar has been lightly cleaned but may use a more detailed cleaning if you are picky. The guitar has light wear throughout to the paint including small dings and some deeper finish checking that seems to show up more on European guitars. The blue color is very attractive and shows some light greening. The neck has some finish flaking on the back mainly behind the 3rd fret or so.This is very common on these old Hagstroms.Play it regularly and it will get that vintage Strat or Tele look on the back of the neck. The On/Off slider switch tends to stay on most of the time even when slid to the off postion. All the other electronics and switches work the way that they should.Overall,it is in nice shape. It came to me in a chipboard case that could not be saved. So,I am selling it in a generic gigbag that provides basic protection.Again, this is a hard one to find in this Daphne blue color and condition. It has great tones and a lightly reliced vibe.

We often get asked: Why are shipping costs so high? Well, first of all, we want you to get your guitar in one piece. So we use NEW boxes ($10 each) and new packing peanuts and bubblewrap. I also have an employee who packs guitars and amps like the pro that he is. Also, fuel prices have gone up alot, and UPS has passed this cost on to us.We also insure our items against loss or breakage. OK?
Overseas bidders: here’s the deal. You MAY bid. However, you must follow the rules of my auction. Please do NOT ask me to adjust the price so you can avoid paying import/VAT taxes. I will NOT break the law. Do not even think of asking me to declare a $4000 guitar for $600. No exceptions. Also, you will pay actual shipping prices via UPS ONLY. It’s expensive, around $300 because of rising fuel costs. I DO NOT ship United States Postal service. They have lost our last guitar. I insure our guitars for full price, to protect both of us if the guitar is lost or broken in transit. We love our Europeon customers, but please don’t ask us to break the law. With the U.S. dollar at 1.35/Euro, you’re getting a deal already. … Click For More Info

1979 Gibson Les Paul Custom Guitar Black 1 Owner
Posted by brian in Les Paul Custom on April 10th, 2009
I am listing this for a friend if you have any questions please email.
This is 1 owner he bought it from the store 30 years ago guitar and case.
This is not a re-issue, this is a real deal 1979 ser.#73259xxx
All Original hard to find in this condition. This guitar is not mint, but is in great condition for its age of 30 years.
It has very very little of the gold plating worn off the pickp covers and bridge compared to most, you can tell this Black Beauty was taken care of.
Light scratches from playing and normal wear.
This is consistent with the near little fretware. The finish is beautiful.
Clearly anyone can tell this guitar has been handled with care since new. This is a Beautiful example. This guitar is 100% all original. Pickups, pots, wiring, frets, this is a factory Original .

1978 Gibson Les Paul Custom – Tobacco Sunburst
Posted by brian in Les Paul Custom on April 10th, 2009
Only detractions on this guitar are:
Normal play-wear on the side of the neck
Two areas on the back of the neck where the finish has worn most likely from leaning against something (like a guitar stand) for a period of time
Other than those 2 issues this guitar looks like it left the showroom only a few years ago. The finish on the hardware is in way better shape then 95% of other LP Customs from the late 70′s and there is NO buckle rash, and only minor worming on the back. Maybe 1 or 2 small dings but you would have to look hard to notice. The headstock is by far the cleanest one I have ever seen on a vintage 70′s LP custom and I have owned many! Great buy it now price and low reserve so jump on this while you can!
Check my feedback. I have sold many high-end guitars on eBay with 100% customer satisfaction. And unlike many other dealers I have no problem shipping to our European friends, just email me before bidding so I can send you additional terms and extra shipping costs.

Evidently I am not allowed to modify the auction to allow European and Australian bidders after receiving the first bid. If you would like the guitar I suggest you go to the GBASE link in the auction and click on the guitar there and send me an email about the guitar and it could be purchased that way. I don’t want to solicit outside of this auction, but the guitar is for sale that way anyway. Sorry for the inconvenience. … Click For More Info
