A NO-RESERVE auction for this super-light (7.8 lb) Gibson Les Paul Standard “50’s Faded” guitar. I bought it new in 2007 and has been used sparingly only in my smoke-free home studio.
It features a satin “aged” finish with rounded 50’s neck, that in my opinion is not large, but certainly larger than standard Gibson 60’s “thin” necks. With BurstBucker V pickups, it plays, sounds and looks fantastic, and will of course ship in it’s origional hard case and factory box. Item Description
This is a rare Gibson ES-150 guitar that was produced in either 1936 or 37. I am basing that on the features of the guitar because as with most of these there is no serial number present. It has the earliest variety of the Charlie Christian pickup with a single blade. The pickup is very good sounding and this guitar sounds great when plugged in. It has a pearl “Gibson” script logo and retains it’s original Grover open backed tuning machines. The major problem with this particular guitar is that it has several large professionally repaired cracks. There are 2 cracks that span almost the entire length of the body on the top and 1 on the back. There are also several other smaller repaired cracks throughout the body. There is a very significant repaired crack on the side of the guitar as well. All of these cracks have been repaired and I feel are now stable but they certainly are there and need to be addressed. The guitar has the original pickguard which is beginning to deterioriate but at this time is still functional. The tailpiece is original and it comes in it’s original hardshell case. The finish is original as well, although there are areas where it has been touched up when dealing with the crack repairs. This is a very early variety of an extremely rare Gibson guitar. Although it does certainly have some issues it is still quite functional. Since the value is rather hard to determine on this one we are going to auction it off with NO RESERVE to the highest bidder. So if you want it bid away because someone is going to own it!!!

For accuracy I must mention a crack on the back of the neck that neither effects the looks or the sound of the guitar but it is there.
I was told this is a 1991 Model and that they only made a few and discontinued this model a couple of years later. If you know exactly when please let me know.

VINTAGE 1989 USA FENDER STRAT, W/ORIG LACE SENSOR P/U’S

This is a 1989 Fender Strat in black. Made in the USA. The serial number is E916500. It seems to be all original with exception of the strap-lock buttons on it. It has the Fender Lace Sensor pickups in it that have a great bluesy sound. The neck is nice and flat, with low 1/16th of an inch action at the 12th fret. It has some light fret wear, but still has alot of life left in them. It has a new set of Ernie Ball 10-46 strings on it. The neck has some beautiful birdseyes, with light flame on the back, and headstock. It aslo has some light thumbnail like indentions on the back of the neck, but it doesn’t effect playability. Everything works as it should, with no scratchy switches. I have the tremelo arm, but forgot to put it on for the pics. It will be included in the auction. It is also missing a few of the screws for the rear trem cover. This is a very cool axe! Since it is a vintage guitar, it does have some dents, dings, and scratches on it, but still pretty good considering it’s 20 years old! It also has the nice original Fender hard case that comes with it.
