2008 NOS Artist Series J Mascis Jazzmaster NO RESERVE!

2008 NOS Artist Series J Mascis Jazzmaster NO RESERVE!

Info:  2008 FENDER ARTIST SERIES J MASCIS JAZZMASTER – NEW OLD STOCK – NO RESERVE – FREE SHIPPINGTo honor the sonic legacy of alt/indie rock founding father J Mascis,
Fender was supremely psyched to unveil the sparkling-new J Mascis
Jazzmaster guitar.

Mascis took the instrument to a new place with his feedback-drenched,
distortion-laden band, Dinosaur Jr. This signature model pays
affectionately ear-splitting homage to Mascis, giving the instrument a
modern makeover for fans whoâ??ve been clamoring for such a model for
years.

With its stunning and unusual Purple Sparkle polyester finish, matching
headcap and gold anodized pickguard, the guitar features mods requested
by Mascis himselfâ??including an Adjusto-Matic bridge, reinforced
tremolo arm housing and a satin-finished neck. The Dinosaur roar comes
from dual vintage reissue pickups and the barrage of controls the
Jazzmaster has always been known forâ??a three-position toggle switch
with volume and tone knobs and, for this model, a two-position slide
switch with volume and tone controls configured as a â??lead tone
circuitâ? (up) and a â??rhythm tone circuitâ? (down).

The J Mascis Jazzmaster is literally
a sparkling new addition to the Fender lineup, in celebration of the
adventurous and continuing sonic contributions of the man who has been
the modelâ??s constant champion for nearly 25 years now.Current Retail Price: $1590STATE OF THE INSTRUMENT:  The instrument was a floor model in a controlled room with very little play.  There is no sign of any surface scratching on the front or back.  It was recently setup and plays great.  It will include the original gig-bag and all of the Case Candy. 65 Fender Mustang Electric Guitar

65 Fender Mustang Electric Guitar

Info:
65 Fender Mustang Electric Guitar
64 Model # L387** Condition : Used
Small and fastâ??like a sports car! (1965 was the first full year of Mustang production). Originally designed as a â??student model,â? the Mustang was nonetheless destined for greatness, and has been seen slung over the shoulders of great players such as David Byrne, John Frusciante, Kurt Cobain, Todd Rundgren, Graham Coxon and Adrian Belew, to name but a few.
This guitar is a L Series (1963-to late 1965). The Serial number on neck plate is preceded with an â??Lâ?. This series is considered to be Pre-CBS (even though CBS bought Fender in January 1965. Sometimes an â??Lâ? serial number can be seen on a late 1962 model.

The Fender Mustang is an electric guitar by the Fender Musical Instruments Corporation, introduced in 1964 as the basis of a major redesign of Fender’s student models. In the 60′s, it was used in Surf music. It attained cult status in the 1990s largely as a result of its use by a number of alternative rock bands. Early examples are generally seen as the most collectible of all the short-scale Fender guitars.
The Mustang features two single coil pickups with an unusual switching configuration, and a unique tremolo arm shared with only its derivative the Jag-Stang. It was originally available in two scale lengths..

The Fender Mustang has a 22.5″ neck and Musicmaster headstocks.
The Mustang has an offset waist, reminiscent of the Jazzmaster, but its overall styling closely followed the existing student models the Musicmaster and Duo-Sonic, the slight waist offset being the main change.
Electronics
The Mustang has two angled single-coil pickups, each with an adjacent on-off-on switch, and a master tone and volume control.
The Mustang is unusual in having neither a pickup selector nor a circuit selector switch, instead just using the two pickup switches to allow the pickups to be used either singly or in parallel. The second on position reverses the phase of the selected pickup, allowing the pickups to be either in or out of phase when in parallel. This phasing option was also unusual for 1964.
It also meant that, as both pickups were floating with respect to ground, it was possible to modify the wiring to put the pickups into series either in or out of phase without excessive noise. The unusual switching could also be replaced by a conventional pickup change switch using the unused body routing already provided for compatibility with the Duo-Sonic, requiring only modification of the pickguard, and freeing the two eight-terminal pickup switches for other uses. As with many student guitars, aftermarket pickup additions and changes were also popular.
Tremolo arm
The Mustang introduced the Fender Dynamic Vibrato tailpiece, which together with a floating bridge forms the Mustang trem or ‘stang trem system. The floating bridge concept is common to … Click For More Info

Fender American Jazzmaster 62 Reissue sunburst w/case

Fender American Jazzmaster 62 Reissue sunburst w/case

Info:   American Fender Jazzmaster 62 reissue.  Bought this in the late 90′s or early ’00, played it for a year and then stored it away.  Guitar is a beauty! Very nice condition. Has most of the case candy plus I’m throwing in a brand new E-Bow and a few new sets of strings.  The guitar has some small dings and rub marks but nothing major. There’s two small dings (look at the picture) probably from my watch. And there is a small white mark on edge (look at other picture). Very slight buckle rash on back. Neck is flawless. No cracks, no gouges, just usual wear and tear for a guitar played for a year. You really have to look closely to see any of the above marks. The pictures have flash glare as well so don’t be confused.  Could maybe use a bridge adjustment. Been sitting quiet for so long.  Really sad to see this guitar go but It’s just gathering dust in my closet.  please e-mail for any questions. Payment is through Paypal only. Please do not bid if you do not intend on buying or have no or negative feedback. Will ship to continental U.S. only. Will Ship through Fed Ex Ground. … Click For More Info
