Info:  This is a fantastic early 1962 vintage Fender Stratocaster refinished in Dakota red (refinished in the early to mid 60s) Lots of checkering in the paint, worn off in spots from belt wear in the back of the body, and inthe front, on the edge of the forearm rest. Headstock Fender logo sticker practically worn off. Neck has been oversprayed, has been refretted also. Beautiful flame in back on the Rock Maple neck with wonderful chocolate colored Brazilian rosewood fingerboard-still plenty of meat left on it! The body was once sunburst of wich the yellow paint can still be seen in the back spring cavity. missing spring cavity cover since refin. The body single-coil pick-up cavities had been enlarged to flip over the pick-ups in a hum canceling mode (very small routs, not like a humbucker rout.) All parts are original, Kluson tuners, black bottom pick-ups, pots, nobs, jack plate, springs, bridge & saddles, 3 way switch and rare and unique for early 60s Strat a short wammy bar! This guitar looks, feels and sounds incredible;it is light weight:approximately 7.5 lbs.A true20th Century icon,a collectable player that should be appreciated and played by its next owner.
