Here are some examples of what people are saying about XMARKSMUSIC:
â??well, you saved me $3,200. Itâ??s just like playing a David Gilmour relic RIâ?¦â?
“received the guitar this morning, it is absolutely awesome- the sound is better than the thousand dollar Americans we played at a music store the other day…â?
â??its gorgeous, well built and incredible soundâ?¦â?
â??just wanted to let you guys know that your “hot rod”, purchased on eBay Monday just before Thanksgiving, has made a musician happier than I could have ever hoped!â?
â??As a working man I know what it means to put pride into your work; you have obviously done just thatâ?¦â?
â??The guitar (sunburst/maple-nitro) was just as described on eBay. It’s absolutely beautiful and plays like a dream. We had shopped all the local shops as well as the large discount music stores and played many guitars. It became obvious that a great sounding and playing guitar was not likely to happen for less than 1000.00 dollars…â?
â??I checked eBay on a whim and, after reading your description of the process and viewing the photos you posted of the step-by-step, decided to take a chance. I’m glad I did; I couldn’t be happier!â?
â??The guitar arrived promptly as you said it would. The set-up is perfect. It plays like a dream. The tone is better than the Americans we played!â?
â??there is no doubt it is a professional grade instrument. It’s versatility is incredible!â?
Here in Nashville- Music CityUSA- it is truly a GuitarTown. And the players don’t use normal guitars- they can’t afford to. Here’s a good example.
The first thing you’ll say when you pick this guitar up is “Wow! What a neck”- so let’s start there:
NECK- this is a 2007 MIM Fender neck- modern “C” shape, 21 nickel/silver jumbo medium frets, 9 1/2″ radius-that has been refinished with an amber Nitrocellulose finish. Leo Fender was quoted as saying that the Mexican Fenders are made from the same materials as the American Fenders, by the cousins of the guys making the American Fenders. For those that don’t know, nitro is the original finish that Fender used on all the great classic guitars in the 50’s and 60’s. They switched to polyurethane because it’s cheaper and easier to apply. Problem is, experts agree that most of the tone of a Tele comes from the neck and the polyurethane deadens the sound- it’s a thick layer of plastic covering the neck. As you can see from the pictures, the nitro finish also allows the beauty of the wood to shine through. This neck has a beautiful grain pattern.
